WANT to change the look of your kitchen but without forking out a fortune?
One savvy homeowner shared how they did it with a £5.90 buy from Amazon.
In a video which has since gone viral with 79,000 likes, Eva Catherine showed how she changed the wall from being a bland white to having stylish tiles.
Instead of paying for pricey tiles, she used stick-on ones that she picked up online.
The self-adhesive, peel and stick tiles cost $37.98 (£29.49) for a pack of five sheets, which works out at £5.90 per sheet of 12 tiles.
If you want to save even more cash, Ali Express has a version of the sheets for £1.55.
On her @evaacatherine account, she showed how she had opted for a stylish grey colour, but there were lots of options available, including dark green and pink.
She wrote: “I tricked everyone with this DIY.
“Not to be dramatic, but this peel & stick tile changed my life.
“They hold up amazingly and don’t peel paint.”
And the best part was she could do the DIY herself and didn’t need to pay someone to help.
Eva continued: “No contractors, no chaos—just a weekend, a vision, and a seriously gorgeous kitchen.”
They are also renter-friendly, according to Eva, who said: “They do peel back off if you want to remove them.”
She explained that she had saved thousands from not installing new tiles, which is particularly savvy as she has plans to gut her “ugly” kitchen.
Eva shared: “A temporary fix that looks anything but—until the full reno kicks off with new counters and a slab backsplash.”
She added that you can stick the tiles over existing ones if you already have them but want to change the look.
The home owner shared: “Just clean your old tile really well first to make sure the new tile sticks.”
Not only do the tiles look good, but Eva said they have been up for a year now and there have been no issues with heat from cooking.
The tile description states that the tiles can be used in your kitchen or your bathroom and claims they will “simplify your life.”
