God help them they hurt one hair on an American head. That’s all I can say.

Word is they’ve fired at our other assets in the region as well. I’m waiting on confirmation for that.

I’d seen earlier that they’d closed the airspace over Qatar.
Now there’s a more than even chance that this is one of their famous feints, where there’s lots of fire and noise for the cameras and public consumption, but as little damage as possible to really torque off a response.
This will be an ongoing thread.
The Iranian state media is officially calling this “Basharat al-Fath,” so apparently they are going to consider it a ‘thing.’ Folks in the Qatari capitol city of Doha are not enjoying the fireworks.

The Qataris have issued a statement and they are very unhappy.
…Qatar’s Foreign Minstry spokesman, in a statement on X, said, “We express the State of Qatar’s strong condemnation of the attack on Al Udeid Air Base by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, and consider it a flagrant violation of the State of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace, as well as of international law and the United Nations Charter.”
“We affirm that the State of Qatar reserves the right to respond directly in a manner proportional to the nature and scale of this blatant aggression and in accordance with international law,” the spokesman said.
