Inside the mystery of shocking new images of Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre, battered and bruised just weeks before she claimed to have four days to live – as her final words to her kids in a suicide note are revealed

Fresh pictures have emerged of sex trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre in hospital with serious facial injuries months before she took her own life in Western Australia.

The photographs are purported to have been taken in January, two months before Ms Giuffre claimed on social media a car accident had left her with ‘four days to live’.

Ms Giuffre led the fight to bring paedophile Jeffrey Epstein to justice and alleged she was twice forced to have sex with Prince Andrew as a teenager.

The 41-year-old was found dead in her farmhouse at Neergabby, about 80km north of Perth, on April 25 and the contents of a suicide note as well as diary excerpts have now been revealed.

Four photographs published by The Times in the UK are said to show Ms Giuffre after an incident on January 9, suffering wounds which required treatment at Royal Perth Hospital.

Her brother Sky Roberts told the newspaper his sister had been involved in an episode which aggravated existing injuries to her sternum and spine, for which she had undergone surgery in 2023.

The pictures appear to show Ms Giuffre with a black eye and other bruises to her face, neck and chest.

Daily Mail Australia has previously reported the January 9 incident occurred near Dunsborough, 245km south-west of Perth.

The diary, which Ms Giuffre kept from the beginning of 2025, detailed her memories of her marriage breaking down, as well as photos and texts.

Ms Giuffre split from Robert Giuffre, her husband of 22 years and the father of her three children, last year and he had remained in the marital home at Ocean Reef in Perth’s north.

In a final message to her children written before her death and published in The Times, Ms Giuffre wrote: ‘Every day that I don’t see your faces has a little less light.

‘The world is dimmer without you in it.’

Ms Giuffre also wrote out what appeared to be lyrics from a song: ‘It’ll all be alright, you’ve always had a rainbow over your head, angels by your side and God in your heart.’

She added: ‘I’m here for you here and everywhere.’

Ms Giuffre’s sister-in-law told The Times: ‘Her death was a terrible ending to this story, but there is a big part of it she never got to tell.’

‘[Virginia] may have fought battles with some of the most powerful men in the world, like Epstein and Prince Andrew, but what people didn’t understand was that [in her final days] the hardest battle of her life was at home.’

Ms Giuffre had become estranged from her three teenage children, but towards the end of her life, she is said to have desperately tried to make contact with them.

This included changing the name of the family Netflix account to ‘Mommy still loves you’, and reaching out directly to her daughter by sending her a link to a song they both liked.

It is understood Ms Giuffre’s body was released to her estranged husband and she was cremated at Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park in Perth

Ms Giuffre’s final weeks were mired in controversy after she shared an Instagram post following a March 24 traffic accident which she claimed left her with ‘four days to live’.

She claimed her car had been hit by a school bus travelling at 110km/h and the accident had caused kidney failure but police and the other driver said the collision was a minor event.

A photograph Ms Giuffre posted to Instagram showed discolouration to her face and chest which was described as severe bruising.

‘I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology,’ she said.

‘I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time.’

Three days after the picture emerged, a spokesman for Ms Giuffre said she had ‘made a mistake’ and had not intended to share the post publicly.

Her family now say they see the post as a ‘way to reach her children’ and a ‘desperate plea for help’.

Among the final diary entries is one in which Ms Giuffre told supporters, ‘We are not going to go away’.

She added: ‘Mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers need to show the battlelines are drawn and we stand together to fight for the future of victims.’

‘Is protesting the answer? I don’t know, but we’ve got to start somewhere.’

It is believed Ms Giuffre wrote the message for organisers of the Washington rally of sexual assault survivors being held in Lafayette Park, opposite the White House, ahead of Denim Day on April 30.

Ms Giuffre had sought treatment in hospital on other occasions apart from the incident on January 9, and the March 24 car accident.

In August 2020 she posted a video from hospital in Queensland which appeared to show her with two black eyes and severe bruising around her neck.

While she did not go into detail about her injuries, or their cause, Ms Giuffre said she was in ICU and thanked people ‘all around the world’ for their support.

‘I’m too tough for something like this to take me down and I got a bionic spine out of it,’ she said.

‘I just wanted to tell you all just how much I appreciate all your comments.’

Then in January 2024 she was in a quad bike accident.

‘Thanks for all the love, I was trying to clock out a T-Rex for my daughter on an ATV and lost control,’ she wrote.

‘Thank heavens that we are both on the road to recovery.’

Ms Giuffre became famous as a victim of Epstein and his girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, who she accused of sex trafficking her to Prince Andrew when she was just 17.

The Royal has always denied the allegations but reportedly paid her millions to settle a lawsuit over her claims against him.

The settlement did not involve any admission of liability on his behalf, and he denies any sexual contact with her.

The scandal led to Prince Andrew stepping back from royal life after a disastrous interview with Emily Maitlis, then working for the BBC.

Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence in a Florida federal prison following her conviction for helping Epstein sexually abuse underage girls.

Epstein was found dead in a New York prison cell in 2019 before facing trial.
