I’M a Celebrity’s Ruby Wax had a huge feud with a TV star she accused of ‘stealing her career’.
The 66-year-old is one of the famous faces taking part in I’m a Celeb this year.
Comedian and actress Ruby shot to fame in 1985 as Shelley DuPont on British comedy Girls On Top.
She later turned her attention to making documentaries, including Ruby’s American Pie which saw her meet with controversial figures and groups including Donald Trump.
But Ruby once claimed Louis Theroux stole the idea of his own successful investigations from her – putting an end to her broadcasting career.
During a podcast appearance she was asked by host Adam Buxton about comparisons to Louis, 55.
She said: “I knew you were going to say that. Can we not discuss it? Everything we did, he took. I’ve moved on. I have a new career but if you say that word to me, I’ll vomit.”
Ruby added: “I’ve evolved but there’s still a little bit of anger.”
Years later, the comic later appeared on the Grounded with Louis Theroux podcast and cleared things up with him in person.
After telling Louis she hadn’t watched any of his documentaries until the morning of their interview, she said: “It’s not you, it’s what you brought up.
“Which is jealousy, envy, my failure, my dad’s disapproval… It’s my reality.
“This morning I did look, I see what you’re doing. It’s great. You’re good, it’s what I should’ve been doing.
“Except I came out of Girls On Top, I was a persona – that’s how I made my money.”
Ruby told Louis she thinks he is a “great” person but candidly confessed she still dislikes being compared to him.
She said: “The name kept coming up over and over again, that it wasn’t even your name anymore.
“If I get in a taxi, it happens maybe more than once a week. They will say to me, ‘Did you used to do what Louis Theroux did?’ Or they say, ‘What happened to you?’”
In addition to Trump, Ruby also sat down with the likes of superstars Madonna, Pamela Anderson and Jim Carey.
She also sat down with O.J Simpson in 1998, four years after he was acquitted of the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.
Viewers are hoping Ruby will drop some names and share some showbiz secrets during her jungle stint.
