The couple have never started a family, and Lorna spoke about the reasons behind that in an interview on the Spill podcast.

“It’s not that we don’t want children,” she said.

“We did try. John would love kids.”

And while she’s keen for her mental health issues not to be “taken out of context”, she believes her “strange relationship with food” is largely responsible for not being able to fall pregnant.

“I’ve had bulimia, I’ve been anorexic,” she said.

“I’ve done the work. And I kind of know who I am now.

“But I do think that that played a part in why we don’t have kids because I think I f**ked my body up so badly.”

Lorna added that she “didn’t have a period for about seven years”.

“I carry the guilt of the fact that I probably am the reason why me and John don’t have kids,” she sighed.

“Which is really annoying. But it is what it is.

“And I just have to live with that.”

She also said that as John is “so unwell” battling cancer, she does feel “like we have really missed the boat”.

But concluded: “I know he would have loved to have kids and he’d have made a great dad.”

A clip of the podcast interview was shared on TikTok, with the comments section immediately filled with people praising Lorna for her honesty.

“You’re so honest Lorna,” one praised.

“That’s why we love you. And you & John were meant for each other.”
