A POPULAR influencer has tragically died after being shot dead when he was leaving a street party.
Douglas Bispo Silva, 21, was confirmed dead by Coletivo LGBTI+ Flores do Sisal, an LGBTQ+ organization based in Bahia, Brazil.
He was a member of the group.
In a harrowing Instagram statement, Douglas was remembered for his “presence and smile”.
“Another young life interrupted by the violence that insists on crossing our territories, our bodies, and our stories,” the post read.
Local media spoke to police, who said Douglas was shot outside a party in Alto da Bandeira – a rural Brazilian village – in the early hours of March 29.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 24-year-old man who was also shot at the party was rushed to hospital by first responders.
He survived and was released on April 1.
An investigation has been launched into Douglas’ death.
Three men have been arrested, g1 and CNN Brasil reported.
Police say one of the trio may have produced the weapon used to kill the content creator.
Douglas was known for sharing his lifestyle content and dancing videos.
He had garnered 40,000 followers on Instagram.
Douglas last posted to his account on March 22, posing for the camera in a local street.
Fans have flooded the comments on his final post with tributes to the social media star.
One person said: “My God, such sad news, my friend, may God comfort the whole family”.
Another person wrote: “My condolences to the family”.
“Rest in peace my love,” a third said.
