Influencer Becki Jones treats her parents to lounge makeover but trolls call her ‘B&M final boss’ & mock ‘silly’ detail

AN INFLUENCER has treated her parents to a lounge makeover but it’s caused a huge divide online.

Becki Jones, a 32-year-old content creator who catapulted to fame overnight back in November 2020, nabbed bargains from Amazon, B&Q, Dunelm and The Range to glam up her parents’ home.

She even got the professionals in to build a luxurious media wall too.

But Becki, who recently returned back to TikTok after vanishing for six months, has been called “B&M final boss” after showing off the front room renovation

The former nursery assistant from Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, was also mocked after users spotted what they described as a “silly” detail.

Posting on social media, Becki showed off her parents’ lounge to her 1.3 million followers with a clip captioned “I’m obsessed with it.”

She said: “It’s time for the front room reveal – this has [taken] a while, it has been done for a few weeks now [but] I just haven’t got round to filming it, so I’m gonna show it.

“So this is what I paid for my mum and dad for Christmas – the media wall. I absolutely love it.”

Becki, who is tipped to make close to £500k this year, described the media wall as “beautiful” and thought the fireplace looked “amazing.”

Meanwhile, she confirmed that B&Q paint was used to spruce up the space.

As well as this, the content creator bought cushions and throws from Dunelm and as she showed off the curtains, Becki continued: “The curtains were from The Range, curtain pole was from Dunelm – love that.”

Moments later, Becki confirmed that she also had the radiator cover painted and then drew attention to the new rug and flooring.

She added: “The rug, which you’ve all been loving, is from The Range – how beautiful is that?

“And then look at the floor. The floor is so nice, it’s perfect. It goes with everything.”

Becki confirmed that the front room looks “better at night” and explained: “It’s so beautiful. I feel like the video just doesn’t do it all justice, it’s just so beautiful.”

Not only is she thrilled with the transformation, but her family are too, as she explained: “My mum and dad absolutely love it all, they’re so happy with it.”

Now the room “smells brand new,” and Becki’s mum is being “so strict” in the renovated living room.

Becki gushed: “It’s lovely and I just love it…It’s so beautiful and so cosy now.

“We absolutely love it and, yeah, I think everyone [has] done a great job.”

Becki’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @beckijones4, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 361,800 views in just 13 hours.

But social media users were left totally divided by the front room makeover – while some thought it looked “cosy and inviting,” others described it as “beige” and “odd.”

One person said: “So beige and why’d it take a whole year? Could of easily done that in a weekend.”

Another added: “The letter box slot under the TV is very odd.”

A third commented: “B&M final boss.”

Meanwhile, many mocked a “silly” detail, as one snapped: “The rug looks so silly. Needs to be big enough to have the front feet of all your furniture on it.”

A second agreed: “You need a rug that’s twice as large as that.”

While someone else chimed in: “The rug is too small for the space and a coffee table is definitely needed.”

But at the same time, others were impressed by the newly renovated living room.

One DIY fan gushed: “Looks lovely. Really cosy and inviting.”

One woman beamed: “It looks beautiful.”

And another of Becki’s followers penned: “Oh wow it looks amazing!”
