TEMPLEGATE returns with his eyecatchers to stick in your tracker from last week.

And he reveals a Cheltenham Festival ante-post tip he very much likes the look of.

SUPREMELY WEST (Pertemps Final, Cheltenham Festival) 20-1

SINCE moving to Dan Skelton this summer, I’ve had a feeling Supremely West could be aimed at a Festival handicap and nothing I’ve seen since has changed my mind.

He qualified for the Pertemps Final with a good third on yard debut in October.

He then ran on the most chewed-up part of the track last month before going well for a fair way at Sandown on Saturday until being allowed to coast home in horrible ground.

He’s 20-1 for the Pertemps which I’m taking now and I’ll watch out for Coral Cup prices when they come out nearer the time.

I wrote about him last week and reckon he could be the next Langer Dan for the yard.

His price has gone out since that Sandown run but 20-1 makes plenty of appeal for now.

SLEEDAGH (Haydock, Wed Dec 3)

HE took a step forward from his hurdles debut and finished strongly over three miles to suggest he’ll win handicaps when stamina is a major asset.

KALDOUN DES ROCS (Sandown, Fri Dec 5)

THIS French import showed promise on debut for Dan Skelton in third.

He was out the back for a long way and looks in need of decent ground. He’ll take a big step forward from this.

IN D’OR (Sandown, Fri Dec 5)

HE cost connections £220,000 and ran well on this first outing for Fergal O’Brien.

He may have needed it after nine months off but finished well and saw out the three miles. He can strike next time.

O’CONNELL (Sandown, Sat Dec 6)

THIS was an impressive effort winning the London National over 3m5f and he could be named the winner a long way out.

The 10-1 for the Welsh National looks solid each-way and he could go one better than last year’s second in the Eider at Newcastle after that.

ONLY ONE BLUE (Aintree, Sat Dec 6)

MAX Comley’s three-year-old has stamina on the dam’s side so she’s likely to want further than two miles on a flat track.

She stayed on into third in this Listed contest and will be winning soon.
