I’m still traumatised by how I acted at my first work Christmas party

WITH Christmas party season in full swing, if you’re in the midst of getting prepared for yours, you’ll need to listen up.

With December 25th almost here and 2025 soon coming to an end, there’s no doubt that many employees will want to let their hair down and have a glass of Prosecco (or two) at their work’s Christmas party.

But one woman, Cleo, from South London, has shared an urgent warning to those about to attend a festive bash, as she wants people to learn from her mistake.

Not only did Cleo “s**t drop ten times in a row” to Usher’s infamous hit ‘Yeah’ whilst surrounded by senior colleagues, but she also said some very inappropriate comments to her manager, CEO and Director.

Posting on social media, Cleo opened up about her embarrassing Christmas party story, which has left her equally as traumatised many years later.

She said: “I don’t know who needs to hear this, but do not get drunk at your work Christmas party – don’t do it, take it from me, I embarrassed the f**k out myself seven years ago, don’t do it.”

My office got escorted out of our Christmas party over my drunken antics

Naked dances & face in boss’ crotch: our work Christmas party confessions

Cleo recognised that she went to her first corporate Christmas party at the age of 19 and at the time, was “a bit of a drinker,” so was overjoyed to see a free bar serving Prosecco and wine.

The content creator admitted to downing drinks at the event, as she added: “No word of a lie, I probably had about 13, maybe even 15 glasses of Prosecco and white wine too, so obviously I’m lit.”

But things “all went wrong” when Cleo and her employees moved to a second location.

Despite “drinking Prosecco and white wine all night,” Cleo “couldn’t contain herself” and ordered a double Hennessy and apple juice.

Moments after, Cleo was then told that her Director had put his credit card behind the bar, so people could get whatever they wanted without having to pay.

And it was after this next drink when things went downhill, as Cleo revealed: “All of a sudden, I’m f****d – we’re just chatting, drinking, people are smoking, whatever, then we got on the topic of politics, and I work for people who are very proud Tories, and bear in mind, everyone’s outside at this point – CEO, Director, my manager, everybody – and then out of nowhere, I just go, ‘you know what? You guys are just a bunch of Tory c***s.”

Not only this, but things soon got even worse. After Cleo’s director was talking about the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation), the young woman then said: “I told my manager, my CEO and my director that BBC stands for big black c**k.”

Cleo recognised that soon after, she “blacked out” and didn’t even remember getting an Uber home.

I just wanted to die, so moral of the story, don’t get drunk, don’t be like me

And while she had hoped her employees would forget about her drunken antics, when she returned to the office in the New Year, her nightmare had come true.

Not only was she “the laughing stock of the company,” but even warehouse staff who “weren’t at the party,” were saying to her: “I heard you were the life of the party.”

To this, she explained: “Everybody in the office was cracking jokes at my expense, and then one of my colleagues goes to me, ‘I heard you like BBC,’ and they all just start bursting out of laughter – I just wanted to die, so moral of the story, don’t get drunk, don’t be like me.”

Christmas Fashion Tips from an Expert

CLEMMIE Fieldsend, Fashion Editor at Fabulous, has shared her top tips for looking fabulous this Christmas.

AVOID: Christmas jumpers
No longer a novelty gag, they’re now gone back to being naff and have no place at a festive party.
By all means, go all in for Christmas Jumper Day for Save The Children, but never wear it before or after that day.

WEAR: Burgundy
You can’t escape burgundy at this time of year and it’s a luxury, deep and rich colour that is a welcome break from Santa-red at Christmas.
Opt for silky textures or velvet for extra style points.

AVOID: PJs
The trend of feather trimmed co-ords has had its day and is so dated.
Don’t pull out your hair plucked pair this year, and don’t get a new set, instead still go for the satin two-piece but just steer clear of the plumes.

WEAR: Sequin Dress
Try to switch up sequins slightly by wearing them with a different texture or colour, eg a sequin skirt with a sleek knit.
But when you’re really stuck on what to wear reach for the sequins, it is Christmas after all.

AVOID: Sequin blazer
Nothing worse than showing up to a festive do looking like the hired entertainment.
Leave the sequin blazer to magicians and Strictly judges, instead always reach for a classic tux style or velvet.

WEAR: Bling trousers
Last party season embellished jeans with diamante bling had a moment, and this year they’re going to be as much of a hit.
If you don’t want gemstones pinging off wherever you go then try metallic, PU trousers.

Social media users react

Cleo’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @cdt416, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 71,200 views.

Social media users were left in hysterics by Cleo’s embarrassing story and many eagerly raced to the comments to share their thoughts.

One person said: “Of all things you could have said I really did not expect that girl.”

I’m screaming

Another cried: “That’s why I don’t go to work parties.”

A third admitted: “I needed to hear this last week.”

Meanwhile, someone else chimed in and simply penned: “ICONIC.”

Not only this, but one user laughed: “I’m screaming.”
