A WOMAN has revealed that she is raffling off her flat for just a fiver.
Gina, who lives in Tottenham, has entered her two-bedroom apartment into a prize competition – and the winner will be picked at random.

Not only does the lucky winner get to walk away with Gina’s gorgeous fully furnished home, but there’s no legal fees or stamp duty to worry about either.
Even better, there’s also £10,000 in cash that’s being thrown in too.
Gina has lived in her flat for 10 years and when she decided to sell, thought it would be fun to let someone win her home.
Not only does the property, which is just 500m from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, have a “quality interior finish,” but in the kitchen, it has tiles which Gina personally handmade herself.
To top things off, the “spacious” flat, which is worth £380,000 and is on an award-winning development, has a large balcony with “amazing views of the entire skyline of London.”
There’s also a communal garden, which according to Gina, is “great for kids.”
The raffle is hosted by Raffall and Gina recognised that it’s “not a ‘normal decision to raffle a property,” so gave a “lowdown” of her main reasons for doing so.
Posting on social media, she said: “The UK housing market is an absolute minefield – from estate agent fees and chains, I don’t really want to touch it. I’d much rather chat with you guys online without them.”
As well as this, the homeowner added: “It would be amazing to use the power of social media to give someone a life-changing prize like this.
“Imagine waking up on January 5th and you’ve got a property, a prize worth £400,000 and no rent and no mortgage to pay for the rest of your life.”
Not only this, but Gina also explained her desire to give back to her local community.
She expressed: “I’m raising money for a local charity – the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, who do amazing things in the local area.”
Finally, Gina explained another reason why she wants to leave her flat for good, as she acknowledged: “I’m moving in with my boyfriend just 20 minutes walk down the road so we can get a dog together.”
What are the home raffle catches to watch out for?
MANY of the people who choose to raffle off their home may have had difficulties selling it on the open market so it’s important to look into the details of the property on offer.
- If your questions about the property on offer aren’t answered by the competition’s website you should contact the organiser to find out more.
- Check whether the property is freehold or leasehold. If leasehold, check how long is left on the lease and how much it might cost to renew.
- Find out whether there is a service charge, ground rent or other ongoing expenses.
- Some of the most impressive properties like castles and manor houses can have huge running costs that you might not be able to afford.
- Have a look at the selling price of other homes nearby on websites like Zoopla and Rightmove to make sure that the valuation promoted in the competition is realistic.
- Find out whether your legal fees will be covered as part of the prize.
- You shouldn’t be required to pay stamp duty if you win as the purchase price of the property is effectively just the cost of an entry ticket or nothing if you used the free route.
Social media users react

Social media users were stunned by the flat raffle, with many eager to enter.
