A COUPLE with a 46-year age gap have hit back at haters who assume he is her grandad.
Shalon, 28, and David, 74, admit that many assume she is just with him for his money.
Speaking to Love Don’t Judge, David said: “The first thing they think is she’s with me for the money.”
“I tell him he’s going to go to the nursing home and I’m not going to take care of him,” Shalon said in response.
While the pair say they have a real, romantic relationship, Shalon is very happy that David spoils her rotten.
As she took viewers to her wardrobe she showed some of her favourite gifts he’s bought her.

She said: “Some of the favourite gifts that David has given me are like shoes, bags, but my favorite is my yellow iMac. David does spoil me.”
Not only does David treat Shalon to whatever she fancies, he’s also paid off her college debt, car, and her son’s school fees.
The pair met when Shalon was on holiday in Orlando, Florida, where David lives.
He was quick to ask for her number, but their age gap instantly became noticeable when he asked if she had pen and paper to write it down.
The pair’s whirlwind romance soon started and the couple hung out all of the weekend before David asked her to move in with him and they’ve been together ever since.
David says he often goes for younger women as those his age are ‘boring’ and don’t have the energy to keep up with him.
But for Shalon, it was the first time she had dated an older man and since then, she has realised strangers are judging them.
She added: “People are staring cuz when you look at us, you don’t know our dynamic.
“‘Oh, that looks like her dad or her grandpa.’ But then when you see us kissing, they’re like, ‘Oh, wait. Why are they doing that?’”
“I would like to tell the people that think I’m a gold digger that he would be the gold digger cuz I’m the gold,” Shalon continued.
The clip went viral over on YouTube with 13k views and people were quick to share their thoughts in the comments.
One person wrote: “She said she’s gonna put him in a nursing home, he thinks she’s joking lol.”
Another commented: “Listen, she can date anyone she wants, no matter what age and for whatever reason; it’s their lives and good luck to them. But when she claims she is not in it for the money, then starts bragging about all the gifts he has given her, then she has got to expect backlash.”
