AN EasyJet flight attendant has revealed the irritating things passengers often say to her and shared why she won’t let kids in the cockpit if they break a golden rule.

Lucy Scott, a young woman from the UK, confessed the common complaints she is regularly faced with, one of which involves continuous moans about the lack of WiFi on board.

Posting on social media, the blonde shared the things people have said to her as a short haul cabin crew, leaving many totally stunned. 

She recognised that she has “so many more” and claimed that they “get progressively worse.”

First things first, Lucy acknowledged that passengers will often say to her: “Can the pilot drive faster please, I’m going to be late.”

Additionally, Lucy claimed that passengers have previously complained that their “legs are touching the chair in front” and as a result of having “no space,” have asked if the “baby life jacket is necessary.”

Not only this, but passengers often complain to Lucy: “I just want some WiFi, why is there no WiFi?”

Meanwhile, others will end up frustrated to know that they can’t have a slice of lemon in their drinks and will bash Lucy and say: “Emirates do.”

And that’s not all, as customers often voice the same groan after arriving at their holiday destination, as many will gasp: “That landing was a bit rough. Scary that.” 

As well as this, customers also ask Lucy for menu items that are unavailable on short haul flights, as she recognised that people often say: “Please can I have a full English breakfast with scrambled eggs?

Lucy rated this request a five out of 10 as she claimed that as a result of the “pressurised cabin,” she doesn’t have a kitchen hidden to start “cheffing up some breakfast.”

Similarly, passengers have even said to her: “I forgot to pre-order my food but I would like a vegan option,” but to this, Lucy responded: “Pre-order? This is not Emirates. PS, you have to pay for it soz.”

The content creator also explained that on numerous occasions, people have asked if they can buy a sandwich right at the time of landing.

To this, Lucy has to respond: “Ma’am we are about to touch down. The crew are sat for landing, please sit back down and fasten your seat immediately.” 

Plane etiquette

RECLINING SEAT: Podcast host and etiquette expert Nick Leighton explained that you shouldn’t recline your seat if the passenger behind you is working on their laptop.

He said: “Nobody likes their laptop snapped in half.”

Before you recline your seat, it’s best to check to see what the passenger behind you is doing.

If they are on a laptop, ask before you move your seat back.

FEET: A flight attendant told The Sun: “Your boarding card tells you a number and a letter, this will be the reserved seat that you have paid for.

“Your feet, which are attached to your body, should do their best to reside within this space and stay far away from anyone else.

“If you do insist on stretching out, please make sure your feet are covered up.”

CHAT: TV travel expert Samantha Brown explained that conversations from strangers aren’t welcome, suggesting that others shouldn’t expect a chat.

She added: “I’m not a talker. Plane time is me time.”

If you thought that was it, think again, as Lucy shared the bizarre questions she is often asked whilst at work, one of which is: “Are we going to crash into water on this flight?” 

She also claimed to have previously been asked by an old man: “Where’s the smoking area?”

And when it comes to those asking if their kids can see the cockpit, Lucy explained that this is only allowed once the plane has “landed and the engines are turned off,” as she revealed the rule passengers mustn’t break.

The flight attendant claimed: “Lol you can’t enter during the flight, that’s a major safety breach.”

Social media users react

Lucy’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @lucyscottxxxx, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 259,300 views. 

Social media users were stunned by the “unhinged” remarks and raced to the comments to express this. 

One person said: “And I thought working in retail was unhinged.” 

Another added: “When you work with the public just like me the level of stupidity goes off the scale.” 

Whatever you’re getting paid, it isn’t enough

Meanwhile, someone else chimed in: “I wish I didn’t believe you, but unfortunately I know what people are like.” 

Not only this, but one user gasped: “Whatever you’re getting paid, it isn’t enough.”
