I’m A Celebrity and Strictly star Seann Walsh has been forced to cancel his shows after falling ill – just days before his jungle return.
The stand up comic, 39, told fans that he had fallen ill with a mystery virus.
Earlier this evening, Seann took to social media to share a statement in which he apologised to fans for cancelling his shows at such short notice.
The post read: “Apologies to the audience in Hordean tonight and in Cornwall tomorrow night.
“I will no longer be appearing as I suddenly became ill last night. It’s not pretty.”
Seann then left fans with an encouraging messages, saying the shows will still be amazing and something they don’t want to miss despite his absence.
“I recommend you still go as both comedy promoters always put on a fantastic night,” he continued.
“Again, sorry I’m not there and hope to see you next time. X.”
Seann’s mystery illness comes just days after The Sun revealed that he is set to return to I’m A Celebrity for the spin-off show more than three years after he appeared as a contestant on the main show.
It’s unknown whether his illness has put his I’m A Celeb comeback in jeopardy.
Seann hit headlines in 2018 for all the wrong reasons when he was photographed passionately kissing his Strictly Come Dancing partner Katya Jones.
They were both already in long term relationships at the time, causing major controversy.
Seann was reported to have been experiencing “severe panic attacks” after the incident went public, and seas of trolls tore him apart online.
He further opened up about being put onto a prescription for antidepressants.
Comedian, TV presenter, and ex-jungle campmate Joel Dommett, 40, will return alongside co-host radio DJ Kemi Rodgers, 30.
Speaking about the show, Joel said: “Our last Queen of the Jungle, Jill Scott, came out last year and she’s just so lovely and so funny and also an incredible athlete.
“It’s a mad thing, you forget that alongside this she’s also an incredible football player.
“I’m excited to hear what she thinks about the new campmates.”
Joel also gushed about how much he likes Seann, and how he’s known him “for years and years”.
“I’ve known him for years and years. I’ll always remember that Seann was in a competition with me on my fourth ever gig, he went through to the semi-finals and I didn’t.
“So he beat me in a competition and rightly so, he was better at comedy than me.
“We’ve buried the hatchet now.
“We’ll do live stand up comedy on Unpacked to see who wins.”
