A MUM has left people baffled after revealing she’s eight months pregnant with a week-old baby.
Mia admitted she will be mum to “two under two months” when she gives birth in a few weeks’ time.

She opened up about her unique situation in a video on her TikTok page, as she showed herself “wearing” her baby in a newly-purchased carrier.
“So this is my newborn, he is one week old, and I am currently almost eight and a half months pregnant,” she said.
“Yes, you heard correctly!”
She admitted that she initially struggled with baby-wearing due to her bump, but eventually found that the Arty Pop carrier worked the best for her pregnancy curves.

“I’m here to say that if there’s anyone else out there eight and a half months pregnant with a newborn, it works, baby!” she laughed, adding: “Imagine the looks I’m gonna get around the neighborhood.
“But I don’t care because this hands-free situation with my boy is the freaking best!”
Mia previously spoke in more depth about her motherhood journey in another TikTok back in June this year, as she admitted she didn’t know if she’d ever be able to fall pregnant herself after years of fertility struggles and health battles.
So, she and her husband decided to go down the surrogacy path.
However, in the time they were waiting for the surrogate to give birth, Mia discovered that she was pregnant herself.
“I wasn’t feeling so great last week and I went to the doctor and to my surprise, ended up finding out that I was already in my second trimester of pregnancy,” she said.
“We are and now I have a bun in my oven due eight weeks after our first.
“So my husband and I now have two miracle blessings coming into our life and we will be parents to two little ones by the end of this year!”

Their surrogate gave birth in October, making them first-time parents while Mia is heavily pregnant.
“They will grow up so close with a special bond,” one person commented on the video.
What is surrogacy?
Surrogacy is the name given for a type of pregnancy where a woman carries and gives birth to another person’s baby.
The surrogate mother is then expected to give up the baby at birth, so it can be raised by the couple who originally wanted the baby.
Surrogacy is often an option for those unable to have children themselves, or for same sex couples.
According to surrogacy charity Childlessness Overcome Through Surrogacy (COTS), there are two different types of surrogacy.
- Traditional surrogacy: When the surrogate uses her own egg fertilised with the intended father’s sperm.
- Gestational surrogacy: The surrogate carries the intended parent’s genetic child conceived through IVF, for which specialist doctors are needed.
How are surrogate babies conceived?
In traditional surrogacy procedures, the egg is artificially inseminated using a syringe.
Gestational surrogacy is carried out through IVF.
During this in vitro fertilisation process, the egg is removed from the woman’s ovaries and fertilised with sperm in a laboratory.
The embryo is then planted in the surrogate’s womb to grow and develop.
This procedure must be carried out by specialist doctors and the biological mother is required to still have working ovaries.
