AN ICONIC stadium in England has been left unrecognisable after being flooded by Storm Chandra.
New Road is the home of Worcestershire County Cricket Club and is often badly affected by adverse weather.


Worcestershire has hit by the torrential rain and heavy rains brought by Storm Chandra.
The county has put out ten flood alerts and in the northern part of the region there has even been an ice warning.
Residents in Worcester have been issued with a red food alert along the River Severn.
The flooding has hit the New Road ground and left the ground looking unrecognisable.
Water has burst onto the wicket and submerged much of the outfield as shown in drone pictures.
Flooding had not just affected the grass as areas of the concourse and stands have also been covered in water.
The usual stunning cricket ground appears closer to a reservoir compared to its normal glory because of the water.
New Road is located close to the River Severn and is no stranger to being flooded.
Only last month had it become was engulfed in water which had also submerged sections of the ground itself by Storm Bram.
Previously in April 2024 just three days before the cricket season was set to commence.
That flooding took place a mere three months after the ground also fell victim to Storm Henk.
Hundreds of alerts have been put in place across the country where flooding is possible as a result of Storm Chandra.
