‘I would run him over’ – Oleksandr Usyk called out by disgraced heavyweight who ‘knows’ Ukrainian’s biggest weakness

OLEKSANDR USYK has been called out by controversial American Jarrell Miller.

The Ukrainian heavyweight champion, 38, brilliantly beat Daniel Dubois via fifth round knockout at Wembley last month.

Usyk is set for one more fight before closing the curtain on his exceptional career.

Tyson Fury, Joseph Parker and Jake Paul are said to be in the mix for a crack at the 24-0 star.

But Miller, 37, has somewhat optimistically called for a shot of his own.

Big Baby told The Ring: “I would run him over.

“Usyk has a problem with guys who put their chin down and want to bang out.

“I know for a fact I can beat Usyk. With me training and me having a proper training camp, I know I can beat Usyk.”

Miller had been due for a shot at then-champion Anthony Joshua back in 2019, only for a series of failed drug tests seeing the bout KO’d.

Having spent nearly four years out of action, Miller returned to the ring in June 2022.

Following low key wins over Ariel Esteban Bracamonte, Derek Cardenas and Lucas Browne, Miller was beaten by Dubois in December 2023.

Last time out, Big Baby fought Andy Ruiz Jr to a draw in Los Angeles 12 months ago.

Per The Ring, Saudi boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh wants Miller to fight Jared Anderson on September 13.

The bout would come on the Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford undercard in Las Vegas.

As for Usyk, member of his camp Sergey Lapin told Plejmo: “The team is currently working on the next fight.

“We’re looking at a few options, focusing on those who make sense both sport-wise and in terms of audience interest and status.

‘WHERE ITS POWER LIES’

“Almost every fighter has called out Jake Paul. But our story is different.

“For us it’s about MMA, something non-standard, and that’s where its power lies.

“We’re not talking about a boxing match with Oleksandr Usyk, no disrespect to Jake, but in MMA the chances are more even.

“Jake has some experience, while Oleksandr would have to adapt quickly.

“This could become a massive show with a huge global audience.

“Talks are already underway, and if everything lines up, the fight could happen early next year.”
