A woman who appeared on a US gameshow as a teen has revealed how she still feels humiliated taking part years on from her stint.
TikToker Lexi Barraza took to her page to share a clip from when she took part in Winsanity a number of years ago.
The programme, hosted by Scrubs actor Donald Faison, hit the American basic cable channel Game Show Network in 2016 and went on to air 80 episodes across two seasons until 2018.
Winsanity saw presenter Donald pick a player from the audience, who would try and bag prizes by placing facts in numerical order from smallest to largest.
Back in 2022, real estate agent Lexi shared footage of herself to her page and confessed how she was ’embarrassed’ by her stint on the programme for a number of reasons.
One was because she didn’t win anything, and the other was because she didn’t realise she was going on telly, and if she did know, she would have changed what she was wearing.
Winsanity, hosted by Scrubs actor Donald Faison, hit the American basic cable channel Game Show Network in 2016 and went on to air 80 episodes across two seasons until 2018
Lexi captioned the TikTok post: ‘Fun fact about me: I lost over $50k worth of prizes on a game show when I was 19. I’m still very upset.’
In the clip, host Donald asks her how many three-point shots American basket baller Charles Barkley has made through out his NBA career.
‘Tell me you’re still embarrassed from losing on a game show six years ago,’ she wrote over the clip.
It is clear that Lexi had no idea about the question, so she decided to go to the audience for help.
She added over the video seconds later: ‘Also note, I had no idea I was gonna be on TV that day, a look like a pile of dog s**t.’
Facing the audience, she asks: ‘Does anyone know how many tears Charles Barkley was in season?’
An audience member tells her: ‘He probably played 12/13 years. My guess is probably he is under 263.’
Lexi edited herself onto the clip and showed how unimpressed she was with what he was saying – hinting that he wasn’t correct.
Some rushed to the comments section to share their shock over the revelation – and Lexi said that she has ‘buried’ the memory
She turned to the audience again to ask: ‘Does anyone think above 263 or below?’
Another woman then went on to say: ‘I don’t know basketball, but I know math.
‘What he said up here, he said 30 or 40 per year if it’s 12/13 years, that will be above 263.’
Levi edited herself in with a smile on her face nodding along to what she said.
And many took to the comments section to share their shock over her appearance.
‘How the hell did I not know this.’
Clearly embarrassed by her stint on the show, she replied: ‘i buried it.’
‘Omg did not know you were on a game show wtf.’
