A BARMAID said her evil boyfriend ruined her life after throwing her out of a 40ft tower block and telling police she jumped.

The fall left Bobbie in a wheelchair for several months with a smashed spine, broken ribs, shattered pelvis and a collapsed lung, reports BirminghamLive.

She spent one month in intensive care after she was airlifted to hospital following Herring’s horrific attack in his mum’s flat.

Herring, 22, maintained that his then-girlfriend jumped despite there being an hour wait before a 999 call was made.

Three years after the horrific fall in November 2022, Bobbie finally found justice as Herring was found guilty of grievous bodily harm at Birmingham Crown Court.

Bobbie, now 21, told the court: “I remember him hanging my head out of the window and saying to me: ‘I’ll throw you out. I will kill you.’

“That’s the only thing I remember from the night. We had been arguing that night. He was very jealous and was always wrongly accusing me of cheating.”

She added that it felt like a nightmare when no one would believe when she said she hadn’t jumped and Herring’s friends and family called her a liar.

Herring strolled down the stairs to where Bobbie lay bleeding on the grassy verge at Merton House in Chelmsley Wood, the court heard.

Horrific CCTV footage showed the moment Bobbie hit the ground.

The jury heard how Herring then picked her up and took her back to his mum’s flat.

Herring’s mother Kerrie-Anne then made the 999 call just before midnight and admitted to the handler that she should have made the call earlier, the jury were told.

She said on the phone: “I should’ve done it ages ago but he’s my son. I’m scared he’s gonna get a knife and kill her.”

Herring was later arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder.

He was found guilty on January 30 of GBH and coercive and controlling behaviour towards Bobbie at an earlier trial.

Herring was cleared of attempted murder to which Bobbie said she was “disappointed” and “doesn’t seem fair”.

She added the delays to the case have only added to her trauma and she has found the process “dehumanising”.

But despite her “hatred” for Herring, she is now relieved following his conviction.

Bobbie now works as a barmaid at Birmingham Airport but is still recovering from the physical and mental trauma of the last three years.

She suffers from memory lapses and still has three metal pins in her hip but hopes her ordeal can inspire other women to escape “toxic” relationships.

Looking back, she said there were signs “he was trying to control me” that she ignored because “it wasn’t physical”.

Herring is set to be sentenced on April 13.
