A WOMAN who was used to being the “fat funny friend” when she was a size 22 has been praised for her “incredible” weight loss transformation after shedding an impressive 5st on Mounjaro.
Yvette, who is now a size 12 after going from 16st 9lbs to 11st 8lbs in just six months, took to social media to show off her impressive before and after photos – and it’s little surprise people have been praising the “amazing” difference.

In the video posted to TikTok, Yvette can be seen singing into a microphone on a night out dressed in a green off-the-shoulder playsuit before starting her weight loss journey.
“Mounjaro changed my life. Size 22 and was just used to being the fat funny friend,” she wrote.
Seconds later, the clip shows Yvette donning a figure-hugging denim zip dress with a big smile on her face – and it’s fair to say she’s almost unrecognisable.
She penned: “But now I’m that same funny friend just not as fat.”
The super slimmer, who started her journey on 1st Feb this year, then goes on to reveal that she’s now a size 12 on bottom, 10/12 on top and is feeling “fitter” and “healthier” than ever.
Yvette, who says the only side effect she’s experienced since being on it is “sulphur burps,” added: “Best decision I’ve ever made.”
She captioned the post: “How MJ changed my life – I’ve gone from a size 22 to a 12.
“I’m not only healthier, fitter and happier. You can say what you want about it I’ll never regret it.”
One social media user who praised Yvette for looking “amazing” went on to ask exactly how she did it.
Yvette replied: “Thank you. I changed my whole life by exercising, moving more daily, ate better and used MJ as an assistant. Best decision I ever made.”
The post has since gone viral, racking up a whopping 59k views and has been flooded with comments, with people eager to commend Yvette on her huge weight loss achievement.
“Amazing before and now,” praised one person.
How to take Mounjaro safely
IF you’re thinking of starting Mounjaro, here’s everything you need to be aware of to ensure you use it safely.
Consult your doctor first
- Discuss your medical history with a GP, especially if you have: thyroid issues, pancreatitis history, gastrointestinal disorders and kidney or liver issues.
Start a low dose and increase slowly
- Starting dose is usually 2.5 mg once weekly, injected under the skin.
- Typical progression: 2.5 mg → 5 mg → 7.5 mg → up to 15 mg weekly (in 2.5 mg increments every four weeks, as tolerated).
Administer it properly
- Inject once a week, same day each week, with or without food.
- Inject subcutaneously in stomach, thigh, or upper arm and rotate injection sites weekly.
Watch for side effects
- Common side effects include: nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, decreased appetite and fatigue.
- Seek medical help if you experience any of the following serious side effects: signs of pancreatitis (severe stomach pain), allergic reactions and kidney problems (low urine output, swelling).
A second commented: “Well done, that’s incredible weight loss.”
A third added: “Amazing well done! What an achievement.”
Elsewhere, another went on to ask whether she had any trouble with excess skin.
Yvette replied: “I’ve definitely not got ‘saggy’ skin but I’ve definitely got some wrinkly bits on my legs and arms but it doesn’t bother me.
“I’d rather have this all day long than feel uncomfortable and as big as I was.”
