A WOMAN has been trolled for her DIY living room makeover which people reckon looks like an iconic McDonald’s feature.
The woman, only known as @vhairimua, took to TikTok to proudly show off her brand new living room glow-up – before brutal trolls said the transformation reminded them of McDonald’s walls.

The Glasgow-based beauty fan forked out just £35 to give the room a fresh look using acoustic wall panels she had found at B&Q for a bargain price.
The decorative wooden panelling had been slashed from £60 to a more affordable £35 and according to thrifty shoppers, you get two panels per pack.
After getting her hands on the cut-price DIY buy, the Scottish TikToker had the panels installed right behind her TV, giving the plain walls an accent.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that feature walls have become all the rage, as they’re a cheap way to spruce up your home – and they suit even those with no DIY skills.
Simply screw in the wood panels, use wall glue or adhesive for a faff-free installation process.
The wood panels can be cut to size and layered horizontally or vertically to repeat the pattern.
All chuffed with the final results, the TikToker said in her video: ”Such a bargain!”
However, unfortunately for the Scottish lass, not everyone was a fan of the bargain glow-up, as hundreds reckoned the living room now looked like a famous fast food chain.
”Always wanted my living room to look like the inside of a McDonald’s,” joked one of the 349k viewers, as others gave the comment a like.
Meanwhile, others thought the trend was officially over – hence the price reduction.
”They’ve been done now that’s why,” one insisted, as someone else claimed ”the quality is terrible”.
Hitting back at the trolls, the TikToker responded in the best possible way using an iconic McDonald’s phrase.
”I’m lovin’ it,” she said in a follow-up video, adding that the living room was ”McSlaying”.

Looking for more inspiration to give your home a makeover before the end of 2025?
Samantha Roobottom, a digital content creator from the UK, has revealed the £18 buy from B&Q that she used to turn her home from drab to fab.
The brunette, who has 216,000 Instagram followers and often shares handy DIY tips and tricks online, recently uploaded a short clip revealing a before and after look thanks to the purse-friendly panelling kits.
Alongside the post, Samantha confirmed: “I used two of the B&Q £18 panelling kits plus two trim pieces which were £5 each (also B&Q).”
Samantha then shared a step-by-step process of creating her DIY panel wall, which involved zero cutting it to size or drilling.
Instead, Samantha simply attached the pre-cut MDF with “no nails”, filled in any gaps with filler and caulk and added a decorative trim for a polished look.
Following this, she gave it a light sand and used an MDF primer.
To complete the wall feature, she then gave it a lick of paint with Hardwick White by Farrow and Ball.
Thrilled with her home’s makeover, the influencer shared: “It’s made such a difference and I love the colour it’s painted in.
“My biggest regret is not adding this sooner!”
Not only this, but she also beamed: “I love how the trim really finishes the top off – makes it feel so neat.”
