If you’ve ever had a perfect night’s sleep in a Premier Inn, then you might be pleased to hear it sells a range of at-home products.
But are the hotel chain’s luxury pillows worth the purchase? I decided to put them to the test.
Premier Inn pillows, £36
WHEN it comes to getting a good night’s sleep, having the right pillow is more crucial than you might think.
I’ve become something of a sleep connoisseur, having tried out everything bedtime from mattresses to temperature-regulating pyjamas to sleep patches – all in a bid to get a solid night’s kip.
Research shows that over 50% of people who choose poor pillows experience general discomfort, restlessness, and poor sleep quality.
That’s even more reason to invest in a good pair of pillows, and having reviewed Premier Inn’s mattress, I was keen to see how the brand’s pillows performed.
So, did these luxury pillows live up to their reputation? In this review, I’ve got it all covered.
Pros:
- Two choices available: soft or firm
- Advice given on whether you’re a front or side sleeper
- The firm pillows do take firmness to another level and really retain their rigidity
- They come with luxury, quilted protectors
- Good value for money, two pillows are £36, working out as £18 each
- Hypoallergenic
Cons:
- If you’re looking for something akin to down level, these might not be for you
- Slightly stiff, the difference between the soft and firm isn’t too distinguishable
Rating: 8.5/10
Premier Inn pillows review: Quickfire Q&A
How much are they? The pillows cost £36 for two: that’s £18 each. The price is the same regardless of whether you pick the soft or firm variety.
Who are they best for? The soft pillows are best for front sleepers, and the firm variety is ideal for side sleepers who like a firm, structured pillow.
What we loved: The value for money, the hypoallergenic qualities of the pillows, and the height when the two are paired together.
What we didn’t: I will say that the softer variety still falls too far on the firm side for me (but I do love a super soft down level pillow).
Premier Inn pillows review: The Nitty Gritty
First impressions
I tried out both the soft and firm varieties of the pillows, so they arrived together in a large package that was easy to manoeuvre, as the pillows are extremely light.
Each set of pillows (there are two per pack) comes with quilted protectors.
These are very easy to put on and are machine-washable, like the pillows themselves.
The bag they come in is reusable for storing the bedding if you need to, and handy advice is displayed about which type suits which sleeper.
For example: the soft ones are ideal for front sleepers, while the firm ones are ideal for side sleepers.
Performance
I personally find pillow height more important than softness; however, I do lean more towards softer pillows.
I tried out both the firm and soft varieties to give a fair result and found that both had a really nice airy feel to them due to the hollow fibre filling, which makes the pillows easy to plump and arrange regardless of the softness, and also keeps bacteria and allergies at bay.
Premier Inn pillows, £36
Having two pillows in one set is ideal, as one may be a sufficient height for some sleepers, whereas I found two of the soft variety was the absolute sweet spot for me as a front sleeper.
The firm variety really does offer top-level support for the shoulders and is easy to mould to hold your position, even if you are a wriggler.
How much are the Premier Inn pillows, and where can you buy them?
The pillows cost £36 for a pair directly from the Premier Inn At Home website, whether you choose the soft or firm option, which represents excellent value for money given their quality.
Premier Inn also frequently runs offers on its website. At the moment, there’s 10% off when you buy a bundle of Premier Inn Luxury bedding, as well as 10% off beds and mattresses.
If you buy the mattress protector, duvet, and pillows together, you’ll save 10% compared with purchasing them separately.
Premier Inn pillows: The verdict
IF you’re looking for a pillow that offers a temperature-regulated and comforting night’s sleep, these are for you.
No matter if you’re looking for a firm or soft support or are a side sleeper or front sleeper, there’s something for everyone with a Premier Inn pillow.
The soft pillows are definitely still more on the firm side, so wouldn’t be suitable for ultra soft down-style pillow lovers, but nevertheless, they are extremely lightweight and soft to sink into.
The firm ones are a firm pillow lovers’ dream due to the support for side sleeping.
Overall, they’re a great investment for anyone looking to elevate their sleep game this spring!
How I tested the Premier Inn pillows
Premier Inn pillows, £36
I’m used to testing out sleep products and have covered mattresses, pillows, sleep teas and patches as well as temperature regulation pyjamas, so I know how to create the conditions to really test them out.
Even though I’m more of a soft pillow person myself, I tested each variety for a week, mixing and matching between soft and firm.
I also wanted to test the temperature regulation aspect of them and so tried running my room on the warmer side and then sleeping with the window open to see how they would fare all year round.

The Premier Inn pillows, as aforementioned, are quite firm and definitely do mimic that cotton hotel feel; so if you’re looking for something similar to this, the Simba Hybrid Firm Pillow would be good as a firm alternative.
