I taped SIX notes to my neighbour’s car that got more aggressive

A WOMAN who was left fuming at her neighbour parking their car in her spot decided to take matters into her own hands.

She decided to make her annoyance be known by leaving not one, but six increasingly “aggressive” notes taped to their car.

The notes, which she admitted were “petty” said things like “allocated parking only” and “move your car this is not yours”.

On Reddit, she explained how she had been having issues for years with people parking in her assigned spot.

She added: “For some time I thought it was settled. But then this happened again.

“So I stuck polite little notes on their car that got progressively more aggressive.

LAND LOCK

I’ve battled my neighbour over 1ft of land – now I have to sell but I WON’T leave

NOTE WAY

I left a note for neighbour keeping me up but people say it’s ‘passive aggressive’

“Only with sticky tape, so there was no damage.”

The woman was keen to mitigate any trolling and added: “Before you call me a Karen for doing this, she has her own allocated parking space that has been empty for quite some time, but decided to park in my car space.”

Social reaction

Many people were quick to chime in on the incident and give their views, with many being on her side.

One said: “Get them towed if they do it again, problem solved.”

Another added: “Protip: Have different friends write them out with different pens, markers, and pieces of paper so it looks like the entire apartment complex is mad at them.”

And a third commented: “Add some balance weights in their wheels.”

However, one person reasoned: “Are you not able to speak to them in person?

“Sticking progressively more aggressive notes might not be the best way to get what you want here.”

According to the Gov website, if you have a neighbour dispute, you should try to resolve the issue informally by talking directly to them first, as they may be unaware they are causing a problem.

If a conversation doesn’t work, consider using a mediation service, which provides a neutral third party to help you both find a resolution.

If your neighbour rents their property, you can contact their landlord or housing association to address the dispute through their tenancy agreement.

The council’s Environmental Health team is legally obliged to investigate and may issue a formal Abatement Notice if a nuisance is confirmed.
