Eager to save cash and transform her home herself, the savvy mum took a trip to IKEA, where she stocked up on stylish cabinets.

Using the IKEA bargains, the content creator was able to give her home a mega makeover, but it’s left viewers totally divided.

While some thought Vicky’s trendy home looked “amazing,” others savagely compared it to a “migrant hotel.”

It comes after the mother took to social media to show off her recent home renovation project, leaving many gobsmacked.

Giving users a glimpse at her living room prior to its overhaul, Vicky wrote: “When your £2,000 quote for alcove cabinets turns into…”

Seconds later, the once unloved space, which was initially very dark and dated, with peeling wallpaper and yellow walls, had been given a fresh new look and was totally unrecognisable.

Beaming with her DIY alcove cupboards, Vicky gushed: “A £400 DIY IKEA hack.”

Vicky claimed that doing the project herself and buying the cupboards from IKEA was the “best decision we made.”

She then confirmed: “They are the Eket cabinets that are £80 each. We used four.”

Not only did Vicky kit out the space with the IKEA cupboards, but she also gave the walls a fresh lick of white paint to brighten up the space.

But social media users were totally divided by the DIY fan’s transformation – whilst some were impressed and described her home as “beautiful,” not everyone was as complimentary.
