A legendary alum of The Traitors believes Rachel and Stephen’s united front will crumble – and it’s all down to one sneaky tactic.
Claudia Winkleman chose Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby as Traitors at the beginning of the BBC show’s ongoing fourth series.
The treacherous duo have stuck together in an alliance, with fellow Traitors Hugo and Fiona falling by the wayside.
With the final fast approaching, series one Traitor Wilfred Webster believes the pair’s trust will be broken at the final hurdle.
Speaking to Metro via Mecca Bingo, Wilf revealed why he thinks cyber security consultant Stephen will ultimately turn on Rachel.
He said: ‘He’s such a lovely person and we love him, but I think that’s going to be the big shock factor.’

With the final just days away, past Traitor Wilfred Webster believes the pair’s united front will crumble
Continuing, Wilf added: ‘I don’t think he’s got the ability to go out there and plant seeds and get rid of Rachel at all.
‘I think somebody else will and he will join on the bandwagon towards the end, like I did with Amanda.’
Meanwhile, the former contestant also showered praise on Rachel’s performance in the game, as he said: ‘I have never seen somebody with so much social clout and power.
‘When people open the envelope [on Uncloaked] and they see Rachel’s name, they all are shocked.’
Wilf competed in the BBC show’s first-ever series, when it originally launched back in 2022.
Claudia chose him to be a Traitor alongside Amanda Lovett and Alyssa Chan, but he was the only one of this trio to reach the final.
He narrowly missed out on winning after Faithfuls Meryl Williams, Aaron Evans and Hannah Byczkowski voted him out in the end.
Elsewhere, the latest episode ended with Traitors Rachel and Stephen having to pick a player to give the ceremonial dagger to.
They could choose either a Faithful – or alternatively, to give the dagger to one of them.
Whoever possesses the dagger will get a double vote at the next roundtable, and with the final only days away, it could change the game.
It comes as eagle-eyed viewers realised Stephen has a famous pal away from the BBC show.
It’s none other than comedian Lou Sanders, who was seen in a video with Stephen’s friends and family as they all watched the first episode.
Elsewhere, viewers realised that Stephen is friends with comedian and Taskmaster winner Lou Sanders
Lou, 47, won the eighth series of Taskmaster in 2019 while last year, she appeared in Prime Video series Last One Laughing.
On social media, rumours cropped up that Lou was the landlord of Stephen and his actor boyfriend Daniel Quirke.
A fan wrote: ‘Stephen’s landlord is Lou Sanders so he’s certainly got some connections that could help him launch a career from the show.’
Clearing up this misconception, Daniel responded: ‘Can confirm she is not our landlord, just a friend of ours.’
Meanwhile, other viewers reckon this celebrity link could prove beneficial to him after the show ends.
One remarked: ‘Stephen will absolutely do a interview hosting gig.’
Another said: ‘Stephen has such a pure soul and ALL of the outfits. Love him.’
A third took a different view, however, as they opined: ‘Stephen is close friends with Lou Sanders and his partner is an actor, raises questions about how “normal” the contestants are and the selection process.’
The Traitors continues Wednesday on BBC One and iPlayer from 8pm.
