A MODEL has revealed her controversial dating ‘hack’ – admitting she only goes for ‘ugly’ men so she’ll be the attractive one in the relationship.
The trend even has a name, dubbed by Gen Z as ‘Shrekking’ – which refers to the famous green ogre in the popular animated film franchise.
Model Lana Madison recently hit the headlines for having spent over £100k to achieve her dream look, with people often mistaking her for Gossip Girl star, Blake Lively.
But while Lively is married to Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Reynolds, Lana isn’t looking for a traditionally handsome bloke and would much rather find herself a sexy ‘ogre’.
She said: “I only date ugly men – that way I’ll always be the hot one.
“He could look like Shrek for all I care.
“I don’t want Prince Charming, I want a sidekick – someone whose main job is to hype me up and look grateful standing next to me.
“Why would I spend six figures on my face and body just to date a man who thinks he’s prettier than me?
“I’ve dated some real ugly ogres in my time.
“I was the star of the relationship. When we walked into a room, everyone would stare at me – not them – and I loved it.”
Lana, who boasts over 100,000 followers on Instagram, including her dedicated account (@onlylanamadison), splits her time between Miami and New York.
The trans content creator insists her high-maintenance look is an ‘investment’ and although she refuses to compete with a partner for attention, she admits that Shrekking has its flaws.
She said: “Sometimes even the ugly guys cheat.
“That’s when you realise it doesn’t matter if they’re a 10 or a two – men are men.
“But at least I still look amazing in the break-up photos.”
Lana added: “Other women might not admit it but lots of us want to be the better-looking one in the relationship.
“I’ve just made it my rule.
“My man doesn’t need abs or a pretty face.
“I’ve got enough beauty for the both of us.”
