A YOUNG woman has revealed that she ditched the UK and moved to Spain.
While Georgia loves her life in Málaga, a Spanish city well-known for its beautiful beaches, there are five things she can’t stand.

Since leaving her life in the UK, not only can people not pronounce her name, but she also got candid on something she finds highly “frustrating.”
Although she would “never go back to England,” the content creator also shared the “controversial” thing she hates about living in Spain.
Posting on social media, the blonde acknowledged the “five things she doesn’t like about Spain” – and people not being able to say her name properly was at the top of the list.
Before Georgia relocated to Spain, she thought her moniker was “normal” and “common.”

However, since leaving the UK, Georgia recognised the numerous mispronunciations of her name, which “annoys” her.
She explained: “Hand on heart, this is the bane of my life, the worst thing about living in Spain – no one can say my name.”
As well as this, she admitted: “I genuinely feel like an alien…I just feel like I can never introduce myself as me.”
Secondly, the young woman, who has a dream house overlooking the sea and gets paid to tan, expressed her frustration at the low wages in Spain.
She added: “It kind of works itself out with the cost of living, but it would be nicer if the wages in Spain were a little bit higher.”
Not only does she not get paid a lot, but it bothers her how cold the houses are during the winter too.
Georgia continued: “I know that winter isn’t like English winter, but I swear to God, the winter is worse here because it’s just so cold when you go inside everywhere.”
As well as this, Georgia also discussed how she finds it “frustrating” when Spanish people speak to her in English.

The young woman recognised that while people may be “trying to help,” it irritates her when she is given an English menu or spoken to in English, as she knows how to speak Spanish and wants to practice this as much as possible.
Finally, Georgia opened up on the surprising and “controversial” thing that she dislikes about living in Spain.
How easy is it to move abroad?
Brexit means British citizens now have to apply for visas to move to countries within the EU. While some countries residency restrictions are easier than others, here’s what you need to do at home before moving:
- Notify HMRC about your upcoming move.
- Let your local authority know and provide a forwarding address.
- Contact your mortgage and utility providers and bank before leaving.
- If you have paid enough UK national insurance contributions, you can qualify for a state pension abroad – contact the International Pension Centre.
- You can sign up to the Royal Mail’s redirection service.
- If you have outstanding student loans, contact the Student Loans Centre.
- If you have children, give due notice to childcares and schools.
She highlighted: “This is really controversial because I know that a lot of people when they come to Spain love going to Zara and everything, but I just feel like we’re really limited on shops and online shopping and shipping.”
While there are “so many different options for shopping” in the UK, Georgia expressed her desire for Spain to have an increased number of “big shopping centres” and “more options.”

Georgia’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @geoinspain, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 9,412 likes and 396 comments.
Others living in Spain flocked to the comments to agree with Georgia and express their frustrations.
