A This Morning guest revealed that she hoarded so much that her mum refused to enter her house and one of her wardrobes was wedged shut for five years.
Caroline got in touch with the ITV show for her home to be given the ‘ultimate transformation’ by cleaner Vicky Gordon and her team.
After hurting her back 14 years ago, Caroline has struggled to keep her house tidy and it recently has become ‘a lot worse’.
Caroline told the camera: ‘I’ve not been able to keep on top of everything because of the injury. It has affected the whole family.
‘We used to sit at the table, make things or eat together…’
Fighting back the tears, she continued: ‘My mum won’t come in the house anymore.’

Vicky told viewers: ‘This is definitely an extreme clean. We are going to tackle the kitchen first.
‘There’s a lot going on in here.
‘We’re also prioritising the downstairs loo, and the bedroom, it’s not really serving as a bedroom.’
While the team got cleaning, Caroline did confess: ‘There is a wardrobe.
‘I can’t get to it anymore, because of the stack of boxes and the clothes and everything in there.’
She was asked when she last used the furniture and Caroline said: ‘Probably about four or five years ago.’
When Caroline stepped foot in her brand new living room, she couldn’t contain her emotion as Vicky asked her: ‘Are you okay? You’re setting me off!’
Caroline said: ‘It looks amazing. You can actually see things and there is space to move about.’

It all became too much for her when they stepped into the kitchen.
‘Going from where it was before, where you couldn’t even barely get in here, the table,’ she said.
And then she finally got to open her wardrobe when they wondered upstairs.
Speaking to the camera, Caroline said: ‘I know I have tears, but I couldn’t be happier.
‘I can’t wait to get in the kitchen and cook for my family and all eat dinner together at the table.
‘I can’t thank Vicky and her team enough.’
Vicky said: ‘Having Caroline react like that makes it all worth while.’
It’s not the first time that the show has brought a guest to happy tears.

A woman called Joanne, 52, broke down in tears after a jaw-dropping makeover ‘took ten years off her’.
She featured on Nicky Hambleton-Jones’ segment called Drop A Decade on Wednesday’s instalment of the ITV show, which sees the TV star transform the looks of viewers.
Joanne then went to have appointments for anti-wrinkle injections, a blepharoplasty and brow lift surgery.
She also saw a teeth whitening specialist, had her eyebrows micro-bladed and a laser treatment to help with redness.
Joanne’s amazing makeover was revealed live on This Morning and Cat Deeley gushed: ‘You are Joanne, right? You are Joanne, you’re not a different person?’
Ben Shephard asked Joanne how she was feeling and she admitted she was ‘a bit emotional’ as she teared up.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
