HIS time on Married At First Sight was dogged with rumours that he was cheating on his new wife with Towie star Dani Imbert.
Essex boy Reiss Boyce tied the knot with Leisha Lightbody on last year’s show, but the romance was short-lived. He’s since been hit with multiple allegations of infidelity during their relationship, but has kept a dignified silence – until now. Here, Reiss tells The Sun his side of the story, and he’s not holding back.
As the 33-year-old returns to our screens, Reiss wants answers from Dani as they come face-to-face for the first time since she ghosted him.
Here, in his first interview since it was announced he’s taking part in Celebrity Ex on the Beach, he’s ready to reveal all about both relationships.
Last month it was confirmed that Dani, 27, is one of the stars taking part in the upcoming series, and as fans speculated about who her ex might be, Reiss was announced.
In our explosive chat Reiss confirms that the last contact he had with Dani before his marriage to Leisha, 31, was a scathing text from her reading: “Good luck with Married At First Sight, it’s never going to work.”
But when he and Leisha split shortly after their final MAFS UK vows, Reiss claims Dani got in touch with him and they appeared to pick right up where they left off.
However, while things between them were going great initially, Reiss was stunned when Dani jetted to Dubai in November and cut off contact with him.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, he said: “The last time I saw her, everything was hunky-dory.
“The moment she got to Dubai, videos started coming out about me telling her I was going travelling when I was actually filming MAFS.”
Those who sign up for Married At First Sight are bound by a non-disclosure agreement meaning they are unable to tell anyone they’re doing the show.
Reiss said: “My hands were tied, my lips were sealed… I couldn’t tell anyone or I would’ve been fined or lost my place on the show.”
Despite Dani making her name as a reality TV star, Reiss has revealed the bizarre reason their relationship ended the first time around in May 2024.
He claims that, while the pair were on holiday, he received a follow request on Instagram from glossy magazine HELLO! – but Dani demanded that he decline the request.
Reiss said: “I took her to Egypt for her birthday and HELLO! Magazine tried to follow me on Instagram.
“Dani was like, ‘Decline that, decline that’. I didn’t do anything, I didn’t accept or decline it. But I came home and I spoke to my mum who said, ‘She’s got thousands of people following her, you can do what you want’.
“I thought, ‘That’s a good point’. So I accepted them and the next thing you know Dani’s broken up with me. I’d just taken her on holiday and she broke up with me over that.”
After being approached by Ex on the Beach producers to appear on the show, Reiss had a difficult decision to make but ultimately decided he wanted to clear his name after facing so many accusations.
He said: “I wanted to do it to clear my name. I don’t like being in those situations and as you can imagine it was intense.”
“It was explosive. It was the first time Dani and I had seen each other since she went to Dubai and cut me off.”
And, while Reiss is forbidden from going into too much detail about what happened between him and Dani so as not to spoil it for viewers, he did confirm they are still not together.
Reiss said: “If I wanted to get back with Dani, I’d pick up the phone. This was about me clearing my name.”
I’M NO CHEAT
Throughout his time on Married At First Sight, Reiss faced rumours he was cheating on Leisha with Dani.
However, he insists that he last saw Dani a month before his wedding to Leisha – when they spent the night together.
And it wasn’t long before the guilt set in as Reiss realised he was in no position to start things up again with Dani with his wedding just weeks away.
He said: “I woke up in the morning and I was like, ‘Oh no, what have I done?’ I’d given her a love letter the night before that I actually wrote about a year before but never got round to giving to her.
“We met the following weekend and I told her I couldn’t see her anymore because I was going travelling, when I’d actually just signed my NDA with MAFS.
“But somehow she found out about MAFS and that’s when it turned a bit nasty with the messages from her like, ‘It’s never going to last’.”
And Dani isn’t the only girl Reiss is accused of overlapping with in his marriage to Leisha.
He told how, just days after breaking things off with Dani, he bumped into a female family friend, Kyes, while out on a morning run.
He said: “We ended up going for a coffee and catching up. I saw her one more time after that, but nothing happened, and then suddenly she’s telling people we slept together the night before my wedding.
“Anyone who’s done MAFS before will tell you you’re in a hotel the night before your wedding, at the venue where you’re getting married, so how would I be spending the night with her?
“There were no crossovers. I was completely loyal to Leisha when I was on MAFS. When I was with Dani, I was completely loyal to her. And nothing happened with the other girl.”
And Reiss is insistent that Dani is a completely different person away from TV and social media, claiming she “plays a game”.
He said: “Away from socials, away from TV… she is so different. She’s smart, she knows how to play the game and keep people interested.”
Despite everything that’s happened between him and Dani, Reiss isn’t ruling out a reunion somewhere down the line.
He added: “I’ve got strong feelings for Dani still, I can’t deny it, we were in love. And you never know what the future holds.”
