WE all know planning a wedding is difficult, and the stress is heightened when it’s a destination wedding.
And one woman has been left furious after her family asked her to change her wedding date because of her sister.

Sophia had been planning to get married in Spain and take her American family with her.
Taking to social media, she said: “I get married in Spain in eight months, and I just found out that my sister is four weeks pregnant.”
“Her due date is literally the day of my wedding.”
In the video, she said she found out while on a family holiday at Disney World, and it left her destination wedding plans hanging on by a thread.
Since her sister announced the news, Sophia said she asked her wedding planner for other dates but there was none available for this year.
Sophia explained: “To verify, I have since reached out to my wedding planner and there in fact are no other dates in 2026. And we already placed the deposit.
“So it’s not like, Sophia, just pick a different venue, pick a different month, change your entire life because your sister decided to get pregnant.”
She said there was no way she was able to move the dates as her partner’s family had already booked their flights out.
However, her mum was having none of it and claimed she wouldn’t be going to the wedding if the date didn’t move.
Sophia added: “Now I’m pretty much being told that if I don’t change my wedding to 2027, it’ll create life-altering issues between my relationships with my mum and sister.
“Mind you, I’m not the one who got pregnant.”
After the family drama, Sophia said she was thinking of eloping as she was ‘the bad guy no matter what.’
The video was shared on the subreddit WeddingShaming and people were quick to give their thoughts.
One person wrote: “I have a feeling this entire family is insufferable.”
Another commented: “Sure. I’ll change the date as soon as my sister hands me a check for all expenses I’ve paid for to date, plus my in laws’ flights, plus 10% for my stress.”
“The wedding is booked. The end. They can choose to attend or not,” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “Ok, some people might not agree but it’s your wedding. Already have it planned? You’re good. If people want to pick sides, so what. At least you’ll know who loves and supports you.”
Someone else added: “Just elope. None of this is worth the stress on you or your fiancé.”
