NOTHING beats a Jet2 Holiday.

Yes it does, Jess.

Epic scenery for hikers, bikers, adventurers and Mach Loop spotters.

Epic roads for people like me.

Great Orme. Pen-y-Pass, Devil’s Staircase. Then drive on to the beach at Black Rock Sands to watch the tide roll in.

Darlin’ hold my hand.

Every turn is like watching the National Geographic channel on repeat. From a VIP seat.

Natural wood inserts. Crystal-like gear selector. The latest Google tech. It’s a lovely place to be.

Actually, that upright touchscreen is a little bigger than before and now sits proud of the dash.

There’s a clever “context bar” at the bottom of the screen which shortcuts to “camera” when you slow down. To help you park. Then switches back to “drive modes” when you’re pressing on.

It was useful squeezing into a tight spot at the Ugly House tea room near Betws-y-Coed.

The Welsh rarebit is off the charts, by the way. As are the freshly griddled Welsh cakes.

The centre console has been redesigned, moving the wireless phone-charging pad further forwards to create extra space for drink holders. Little details. But they make a difference.

To be fair, Volvo didn’t need to spend time and money anywhere else because owners clearly like XC60 as it isCredit: Volvo

Only a proper Volvo nerd would spot any changes to the outside. OK, I’ll tell you.

The front grille has been updated to match the XC90 and more colours have been added to the Black Edition. That’s about it.

The engine line-up is just as before. Two petrols. One with a plug to boost performance, lower CO2 and do 50-odd miles in e-mode. One mild hybrid without a plug. Both all-wheel drive. So they’re sure-footed whatever the weather.

To be fair, Volvo didn’t need to spend time and money anywhere else because owners clearly like XC60 as it is.

It is now Volvo’s all-time best-seller.

The pure electric EX60 will sit alongside XC60 from next year to give owners the choice. Like EX40 and XC40 and EX90 and XC90.

But I’d go XC60.

Bin off that Jet2 Holiday and take the kids on a proper Welsh adventure.

Right now, you can save up to £50 per person. That’s £200 off for a family of four.
