Humiliation for I’m A Celebrity bosses as they share ‘King Of The Jungle’ post before South Africa series has even kicked off – leaving fans baffled

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here bosses! faced humiliation before the upcoming South Africa series – after a ‘King of the Jungle’ post left fans baffled.

The second All Stars spin-off, which launches tonight (April 6), welcomes back fan favourites from throughout the ITV show’s history.

From Gemma Collins and Sir Mo Farah to Scarlett Moffatt and Harry Redknapp, they are all vying to become the next ‘I’m A Celebrity… Legend’.

Also among the cast is former Premier League footballer Jimmy Bullard, who originally took part in 2014.

Ahead of the series launch, the I’m A Celeb Facebook page shared a photo of Jimmy, 47, in his South Africa gear.

The caption read: ‘Does former King of the Jungle, Jimmy Bullard, have what it takes to win the Legend crown too?’

However, fans were quick to point out a glaring error, as the former Soccer AM co-host had, in fact, been voted out first in his series.

One wrote: ‘He was out first that year, because I remember being outraged by it.’

Another commented: ‘Carl Fogarty won the year he was on?’

A third remarked: ‘He didn’t win, he was out first because of his bantz with Jake Quickenden. Foggy won that year.’

While a fourth said: ‘Someone doesn’t know the history of I’m A Celebrity, he didn’t win, he was on the show [the] year Carl Fogarty won it.’

Upon entering the jungle back in 2014, Jimmy had initially been pegged as a favourite to win the series.

His fortunes changed after an expletive filled-clash with X Factor alum Jake Quickenden, resulting in the ex-footballer’s early elimination.

In August 2025, it was first revealed that Jimmy was set to join the South Africa series two line-up

A source told The Sun on Sunday at the time: ‘Jimmy had a brilliant time in the original series he took part in and it really opened the door to his broadcasting career.

‘He was voted off first last time and he felt he had a lot more to give.

‘Now he’s got the chance to get stuck in again, although he’s a bit older so he is worried he might find it harder to rough it.

‘His banter is still on top form though. Producers are hopeful he’ll have a bromance with Harry Redknapp, who is also taking part.’

Speaking in a promo video after the line-up was officially announced, the former Fulham player said: ‘I’m sat here in South Africa, how do I feel? Scared.’

It comes as fellow South Africa campmate Scarlett Moffatt seemingly dropped a huge spoiler about the eagerly anticipated series.

TV personality and presenter Scarlett, 35, won the ITV show’s regular Australia-set edition back in 2016.

Appearing on an episode of This Morning last week, she discussed the mostly pre-recorded South Africa series.

It will conclude with a live final in London later this month – which she told hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond will be on April 24.

Despite the final having not aired or even be filmed yet, Scarlett seemingly hinted at who has made it to the final stage.

Asked by Alison who she thought would win, the former Gogglebox star first joked: ‘Is it bigheaded if I say me?’

She continued: ‘To be honest with you, I hope Harry Redknapp wins. He’s just so wonderful.

‘And Sir Mo Farah as well. We’d still be trying to get the fire lit if it wasn’t for Sir Mo.

‘He just looked after us all.’

When contacted by the Daily Mail, an ITV spokesman said: ‘Dermot & Alison asked Scarlett who she’d like to win and she said Harry and Mo from the campmates.

‘She chose those two because, as she said on air, they were good at camp duties, especially the cooking.’

For the first All Stars series, which aired in 2023, the programme was entirely pre-recorded.

The winner was crowned on-site in South Africa, with previously eliminated campmates brought back to watch the action.

I’m A Celebrity South Africa kicks off on Monday on ITV1 and ITVX.
