A HUGE reality show is making a shock comeback despite rumours it had been axed.
The series, which last aired in March 2024, is returning to screens with Love Islanders and MAFS stars being lined up to take part.
Celebrity Ex on the Beach has been a hugely popular series for MTV, and is a spin off from the original Ex on the Beach show.
It aired for three series from 2020 until last year, and saw famous faces like Joey Essex, Calum Best, Paige Turley and Yazmin Oukhellou come face to face with one of their exes.
Now, The Sun can exclusively reveal the show is making a comeback.
A show source revealed: “Celeb Ex On The Beach is back – and they’re already in talks with Love Island, MAFS and Netflix stars.
“Celebs are queuing up to take part so the cast will be better than ever when it returns.
“It’s in the very early stages but should film towards the end of the year.”
It is not yet known where the new series will be filmed.
Series one was shot in Marbella, Spain, while the second and third instalments were filmed in Gran Canaria.
It sees the cast members begin to date, before being interrupted by one of their exes at various stages of the process.
As well as the three celebrity series, the regular version of Ex on the Beach had 10 seasons, from 2014 until 2023.
There should have been 11 regular series, but producers chose not to air any of series 10 following the tragic death of Love Island star Mike Thalassitis, who was taking part.
None of the other cast members for that series were revealed, and so when the 2023 episodes aired – which was technically series 11 – it actually became the 10th series to air on TV.
