Nicola has got news…
Fans are now convinced that Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts will be announced as the fifth star for this year’s Strictly.
In a Masked Singer Reddit forum, one person asked: “Queen Bee for Strictly 2025??” after Nicola won the show in 2020 as Queen Bee.
The fan went on: “Nicola will be sharing some ‘news’ on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on Tuesday 12th August.
“Could this be about Strictly, Girls Aloud or even a possible 2nd album?”
Nicola is due to appear on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show with Scott Mills on Tuesday.
On the radio show’s website, it teases: “Nicola Roberts has got news…”.
It also states: “Scott’s catching up with Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts, she’s got some big news to share.”
Nicola’s previous Strictly stint
In 2022, Nicola did the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special – which is how some of the main show stars get selected.
Last year, The Sun reported that Strictly would have loved to have had Nicola on the show for the 2024 season.
A source said at the time: “Nicola is a beautiful dancer with amazing musicality.
“She was really impressive on the Strictly special and her waltz was beautiful.
“They’d love to have Nicola back and the offer is there for her.
“She has got a jam-packed summer with Girls Aloud but Strictly think she could be amazing if she fancied a whirl.”
So, could she be lined up for this year’s series?
Nicola, who was partnered with Giovanni Pernice when she competed in the Christmas competition three years ago.

Jamie ended up winning the Christmas special in 2022, before heading onto the main show last year in the 2024 season to compete.
Many Christmas series stars end up competing in the main series of the hit show.
Harry AKA Nitro is just another example of a former Christmas special alum getting recruited for the main series.
