Kirsty then shared the secret behind a Christmas tree that will impress guests – green tinsel.
She beamed: “Green tinsel is my must-have Christmas hack of the year.”
At the start of her short clip, the brunette gave viewers a close-up look at her sparse Christmas tree, which had plenty of gaps.
But seconds later, after adding the affordable tinsel, Kirsty’s tree had been totally transformed, with no gaps in sight.
As well as looking full, Kirsty’s tree looked brand new, without having to splash hundreds on a Christmas tree upgrade.
Following this, the savvy woman advised: “Put [the tinsel] around your tension poles around your banisters and through your tree to fill out those gaps…”
She then continued: “I have used five 2m lengths here from which are currently £1 each.”
And if you’re wondering where you can find green tinsel for just £1? Kirsty confirmed that she nabbed hers from her local B&Q.
Why do shops start selling Christmas stock so early?
Charlotte Harrington, the manager at Summerhill’s garden centre in Basildon, Essex, explained: “For many, many years now, we’ve opened our Christmas department on the August bank holiday.
“The stock comes in early and we gradually start putting it out on the shop floor. This is just a small fraction of what we have.
“But our Christmas displays are so spectacular it takes time to get everything set up, so we have to start early.
“It may seem a little odd putting them out now — especially with the hot weather.
“But we have to plan so far in advance.”
Kirsty’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @house.of.haz, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as users eagerly flocked to the comments to share their thoughts on the simple yet effective hack.
One person said: “Gonna do this!!”

Meanwhile, someone else asked: “How do you put it on?”
To this, Kirsty replied and simply confirmed: “Just put it in between like you would any tinsel.”
At the same time, one woman wondered: “Where do you get it from?”
In response, the bargain hunter acknowledged: “Green tinsel is everywhere but usually £1 in B&Q.”
