BY using simple Clubcard hacks, Tesco customers could bank an extra £534 worth of points just in time for Christmas
The loyalty card scheme is an ideal way to help you save while shopping, and there are loads of freebies to be won.

You might think you only collect Clubcard points when you’re doing your weekly shop, but there are actually plenty of other ways to earn them – we reveal the tricks you need to know.
The scheme gives you one point for every £1 you spend in Tesco.
Those points are then collected and converted into vouchers, which you can use either at the checkout or with one of Tesco’s reward partners.
Every 100 points is worth £1 in vouchers, but the real value comes when you redeem them with partners.
In many cases, your points are worth twice as much — whether you’re putting them towards days out, travel discounts like railcards, or even your Disney+ subscription.
We’ve rounded up eight offers available right now that could earn you thousands of extra points on top of your usual shop.
Used with reward partners, those extra points stretch even further, giving you double the value back.
These eight offers all add up to a huge £633 worth of Tesco points.
Here’s the key deals you should know about.
Tesco shopping – and not just in supermarkets
You’ll already earn a point for every pound you spend in Tesco, whether you’re shopping online or in store, but that’s not the only way to build up your balance.
Plenty of other Tesco services and products can top up your points too.
Take fuel, for example — filling up at a Tesco forecourt earns you one point for every two litres.
Just be sure to compare prices with nearby petrol stations so you’re not overpaying for the sake of a few extra points.
You also get:
- Five points for every £4 spent at Tesco using a Tesco Bank Clubcard credit card
- One point for every £8 spent elsewhere using a Tesco Bank Clubcard credit card
- One point for every pound you spend with Tesco Mobile (when your mobile account is linked to Clubcard)
- One point for every pound spent at Tesco, including eligible purchases in: F&F clothing, Tesco Café, Tesco Pharmacy (qualifying items) and Tesco Photo
- One point for every pound spent on eligible products in a Tesco Whoosh delivery
- One point for every pound spent on a Tesco Delivery Saver subscription

To collect the points, book your parcel via Evri’s website and enter your Clubcard number at the basket/checkout stage.
Points will be credited after your order is completed.

Esso fuel: £3 worth of points
If you fill up at Tesco forecourts, you can now earn 1 Clubcard point for every 2 litres of fuel — an easy way to rack up points every time you fill your tank.
If you use an Esso station with a Tesco Express attached, you’ll also earn points, at 1 point for every £3 spent on fuel.
Even with typical UK fuel prices, this can add up over time — for an average driver, you could earn around 270–300 points per year, turning everyday refueling into a simple way to collect Clubcard rewards.
Waves hand car wash: £3.20 worth of points
You can pick up Clubcard points at Waves hand car wash too — you’ll earn one point for every pound you spend.
Prices at Waves vary by location, but the “Full Monty” service can reach around £80 in some areas of London, meaning you can rack up points pretty quickly.
Have four Full Monty washes a year and that’s 320 points: worth £3.20 off a Tesco shop, or £6.40 if you redeem them with Clubcard partners.

Tesco offers a neat solution for unwanted printer cartridges through its partnership with the Recycling Factory.
For every cartridge you recycle, you’ll earn 125 Clubcard points — equivalent to £1.25 to spend at Tesco or twice that amount when redeemed with a reward partner.
Recycling envelopes can be found in store or inside Tesco’s own ink cartridge packs. Simply complete the tear-off or downloadable form, place your cartridges inside, and return the envelope to Tesco.
You can choose to collect the points or donate the £1.25 value to charity instead.
The scheme does have a limit of 100 inkjet cartridges per year, so it’s primarily designed for household use rather than business recycling.

To be eligible, you need to have downloaded the OVO Energy app and be a Beyond customer.
You will also need a smart meter installed and pay your bills by direct debit.
Every week there will be 8,750 chances to collect 100 Clubcard points through the app – but you’ve got to be quick, they are on a first serviced basis.
It’s also worth noting that you can only collect 100 Tesco Clubcard points once every four weeks.

Changes to Clubcard Pay+ service
TESCO Bank has announced it will be shutting down a popular account where shoppers can collect extra Clubcard points.
The Clubcard Pay+ service combined a debit card and a round-up savings account – but it will close from April 26 2026.
Tesco has confirmed that it will not be offering anything similar to replace the service, which bosses have acknowledged could be “disappointing” for some customers.
Tesco Bank was sold to Barclays in 2024 and at the time there were warnings that the sale would affect millions of credit cards, loans and savings customers.
A Tesco Bank spokesperson told The Sun: “After a careful review of our products, we’ve made the decision to close Clubcard Pay+ accounts for existing customers from Sunday 26 April 2026.
“We’ve written to customers to inform them of the closure and to outline the next steps.”
Tesco Bank members will keep accrued Clubcard points in their Clubcard account.
