The famous brand Beckham PR machine has been in overdrive since Victoria and David’s eldest son Brooklyn broke ranks and stopped playing ball.
I’m told that Victoria and David are genuinely devastated at the growing distance between them and their lad, with the blame firmly planted at the door of his actress wife Nicola Peltz.
It’s not an uncommon situation for many parents who can find themselves frozen out of their children’s lives after a partner arrives on the scene.
But this has all turned ugly, very quickly, with Brooklyn turning his back on the Beckhams’ “happy families” image.
He failed to show at any of Becks’ 50th birthday parties and publicly snubbed his mum on two Mother Days — the first in England in March and then in America last Sunday.
But while Brooklyn is off cooking up new careers with the fairies, his younger brother Romeo is stepping up to the plate.
I’m told the footballer-turned-model has become a rock to Posh and Becks in their time of crisis and has been going all out to try and keep their spirits up.
In contrast to Brooklyn, Romeo bought Posh a lovely bunch of flowers to mark the American Mother’s Day.
A friend added: “Brooklyn’s decision to throw this shade at his mum and dad isn’t just hurting David and Victoria, it’s also affecting Romeo and Cruz, as well as their daughter Harper.
“Romeo is really stepping up and has been great to both of them.
“He had a very big role to play at David’s 50th birthday party.
“He also wanted to make sure that Victoria felt special on Mother’s Day, knowing all too well that people would be talking about Brooklyn failing to acknowledge her on the day like he did before.
“The fact Romeo’s DJ girlfriend Kim Turnbull has been dragged into this is upsetting for him.
“But Romeo is rising above it and showing his parents as much love and affection as he always has, if not even more, since this all started.”
‘Solid presence’
Friends say his brother Cruz has also been key in supporting his famous mum and dad while Brooklyn has been playing up.
They added: “Family is everything to the Beckhams and like Romeo, Cruz is trying his hardest to be a solid presence.”
I bet their family WhatsApp group is a fun place to be right now . . .
Meanwhile… Den shows it’s not all daughter in wars
Matty Healy’s fiancée Gabbriette Bechtel shared this snap of her hugging The 1975 frontman’s mum Denise Welch on a night out.
The model captioned the snap: “Mama.”
Poor old Posh, she’s being treated like chopped liver.
Shore it’s Rita
I told you Rita Ora was turning up the temperature in the new video for her next single, Heat.
And now she’s showing you exactly what I meant, after sharing these sexy snaps of herself on the shoot for the single – which is out on June 6.
The sultry track is a proper pop banger and sees Rita boasting about getting down and dirty outside.
On the single, she sings: “Your heat on me. Sex on sight. Anywhere you like. Inside or outside.”
The song is expected to appear on her upcoming as-yet-untitled fourth album, which will be her first since 2023’s You & I.
Willow on high
Mark Owen’s teenage daughter is following in his musical footsteps with her own singing career.
Willow, who is just 16, has quietly been spending time working on music in Los Angeles, where the family live, and she has posted a handful of tracks on music-hosting website SoundCloud.
The proud dad and Take That star shared a link to Willow’s latest song Back To Me Now on Instagram, and it’s easy to see why it got his seal of approval.
The track shows off her ethereal vocals and it sounds surprisingly polished for someone so young.
Three years ago, Willow and her younger sister Fox, now 12, featured as guest backing singers on Mark’s 2022 solo album Land Of Dreams.
Speaking to Bizarre at the time, Mark said: “They are into all their own music but actually they’re aware and interested in this, which is nice.
“The girls are singing on the record, doing backing vocals with two girls who have been performing with Foo Fighters, so that was exciting and a nice experience for them.”
As well as a beautiful voice and an obvious knack for writing lyrics, fans on TikTok – where she has racked up 55,000 followers without so much as a mention of her more famous father – have commented that she looks just like Kate Moss’s model daughter Lila.
If Willow does pursue a career in music, I’m sure she could be very successful, just like her dad.

Sabrina’s a bed girl
Sabrina Carpenter wants you to Please Please Please follow her on Instagram.
The Taste singer put on what looked like a Dorothy Perkins nightie and told her 47 million fans: “All I want for my birthday is 50 million followers. Can we get there, you guys got this.”
Sabrina turned 26 on the day of her post and later altered the caption to make sure people knew she wasn’t a beg, writing: “26 years of jokes not landing.”
There’s plenty of years of practice ahead, Sabrina.
She may have axed her planned comeback gigs after falling pregnant again, but it’s not all bad news for Rihanna fans.
RiRi’s dropping a new track on Friday – Friend Of Mine, from the new Smurfs movie, in which she voices Smurfette.
Speaking at the Met Gala earlier this month, the singer said her happy baby news won’t delay her ninth album.
Gary’s solo gigs great and small
Gary Barlow’s Songbook tour came to London last night (Monday) and this evening he will play his second consecutive show at the Royal Albert Hall.
The gigs will see Gary performing in smaller venues, which he tells me he relishes after playing in huge arenas with Take That on their last tour.
“I see it as a challenge to get that audience engaged,” Gary says.
“If it’s Friday or Saturday night and it’s loud – I extend the songs a bit… I might keep a little handful of songs for a rowdy night for when you want to keep playing a little longer.
“This is the organics of being a performer and what I was doing before the band even started. It’s a great thrill.”
On the tour, Gary performs his track Forever Love, which he wrote for his wife Dawn.
He adds: “She couldn’t believe I had written a song just for her.
“It’s still our song. The fact that we are still here, 25 years married and 30 together, I think it needs an extra special celebration on this tour.
“It’ll be a moment for us both.
“If the kids are with her at the gig, they will look at her because they think she’s going to cry – but if she doesn’t shed tears they’ll all be disappointed.”
Miley’s fam feud is over
Miley Cyrus and her parents have finally ended a long-running feud.
Her dad Billy Ray’s short-lived marriage to singer Firerose, months after he’d split from her mum Tish, caused ructions – with Miley unfollowing her dad on social media and selling her home in Nashville, close to his place.
But it seems peace has been restored, with Miley addressing their issues – including claims her mum unfollowed her.
Miley said: “Like a lot of mums, she doesn’t know how to work her phone,” before saying of Billy Ray: “My dad and I have had our challenges.
“I’m at peace knowing bridges have been built.”
Billy Ray posted: “I’m so proud of Miley and her guts and her courage. We are so close to healing.”
Billy Ray is now dating Liz Hurley – maybe she’s got peacemaking skills.
