How many more crimes by migrants will it take before Starmer does whatever is necessary to end this horror show?

SHUT up! Be quiet! Can everyone please just stop talking about migrant crime?

All you’re doing is stoking up fear and hatred so, if you could just stay schtum, then it will all go away.

That, as far as I can see, is the official Government policy when it comes to dealing with the rising tide of violent crimes being committed by migrants who have arrived illegally in Britain.

It’s certainly what the Prime Minister would prefer us to do.

If only people like me would stop talking and writing about the wave of horrific attacks by asylum seekers, then no one would know it was happening and they wouldn’t care any more.

According to Sir Keir Starmer, the problem isn’t the tens of thousands of mostly fighting-aged men breaking into our country every year.

Danger to the nation

It isn’t even the multi-billion-pound cost of housing and feeding them, or the rising tide of crime committed by some of them.

Nope, the REAL problem is us talking about it.

If only the scaremongers and sowers of misinformation would shut their mouths, it wouldn’t be on the front pages, or all over social media.

No one would be speaking about it down the pub or at the school gates.

And there certainly wouldn’t be protests outside asylum hotels or angry voters demanding that the Prime Minister does something about it.

But how can anyone pretend any more that this migrant crime wave isn’t a real and present danger to the nation and something that we have a duty to talk about and, more crucially, DO something about?

The past seven days have seen not one, not two, not three, but FOUR shocking cases of crimes committed (or in one case suspected to be) by migrants who have arrived in our country illegally, whether by dinghy or in the back of a lorry.

Last Friday, we saw the Epping migrant sex offender Hadush Kebatu mistakenly freed from HMP Chelmsford, sparking a two-day police manhunt, then his deportation back to Ethiopia — along with a £500 cash payment in return for going quietly.

He had sexually assaulted a 14- year-old girl just days after arriving here.

We also had the conviction for murder of Sudanese migrant Deng Chol Majek, who stabbed to death asylum hotel worker Rhiannon Whyte, inflicting 23 savage wounds in an unprovoked attack.

Then there was the charging of Afghan national Safi Dawood for allegedly killing dog walker Wayne Broadhurst and injuring another man and a 14-year-old boy in a frenzied stabbing in Uxbridge.

And just days ago, failed Somalian asylum seeker Haybe Cabdiraxmaan Nur (who arrived here after a string of convictions across Europe) was sentenced to a minimum of 25 years behind bars for the random murder of father-of-three Gurvinder Johal as he queued up in a Lloyds bank in Derby.

And those four cases are just the ones we know about, the ones that have made the headlines. How many more crimes have yet to come to light?

Just because we’ve got our own wrong ’uns, that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea to import thousands more from abroad

Julia Hartley-Brewer

It’s not just the rising number of attacks, or even their grotesque brutality.

It’s the unpredictable risk that we seemingly all now face as we go about our normal day, going to work, sitting in a park, getting on the train or popping to the shops.

Of course, not every illegal boat or lorry arrival poses a danger to us, but how many is too many?

We already know that in the first six months of this year, 339 court cases — including sex attacks and violent assaults — involved a suspect who was a foreign national living in an asylum hotel.

But it’s a certainty that there are many more cases where the criminal’s asylum status has not been made public.

So just how many migrant crimes does the PM regard as an acceptable level before he will do whatever is necessary to end this ongoing horror show?

Heartbreaking grief

How many rapes, stabbings and murders by migrant arrivals is too many?

Because for most of us, that number is ZERO.

Yes, of course most crimes in Britain are committed by our own homegrown criminals.

But just because we’ve got our own wrong ’uns, that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea to import thousands more from abroad.

The Government can keep wishing and hoping that we’ll all grow bored with talking about migrant crime and then they can pretend it’s not happening.

But that won’t make the fear of being attacked that so many women and girls feel every day on our streets just magically disappear.

And it won’t end the heartbreaking grief felt by the families of those brutally slain in random attacks.

We must carry on talking about these crimes and we won’t be quiet until the Government is forced to do whatever it takes to stop the stabbings, the rapes and the murders on our streets by men from far away lands who never had any business being here in the first place.

ERRORS KEEP PILING UP, RACH

UH-OH! Things aren’t looking promising for Rachel Reeves.

The Prime Minister “continues to have confidence” in his Chancellor, we are told.

If recent history is anything to go by, that means Rachel from Accounts will be gone by Monday.

As if having a CV bearing only a passing resemblance to the truth wasn’t bad enough, now it turns out Reeves has failed to obtain a licence from her local council before renting out her four-bedroom family home in South London when she moved into her freebie Downing Street flat.

She could now be liable for a fine of up to £30,000 and required to reimburse the rent paid by her tenants.

The Tories have called for Reeves to be sacked.

After all, as Sir Keir Starmer kept telling us throughout Partygate, “rule makers can’t be rule breakers”.

But in this case, apparently, he’s willing to overlook it because Reeves apparently didn’t KNOW she needed to apply for the £900 landlord’s licence.

Which is strange because she campaigned for precisely the same landlord’s licences to be required in her Leeds constituency. And now it seems she had been aware that she needed a licence.

A Housing Secretary who didn’t pay her full Stamp Duty, a Business Secretary who falsely claimed he was a solicitor and a rogue landlord Chancellor who has broken the law and now plans to break Labour’s manifesto pledge not to raise income tax, employee National Insurance or VAT in a blatant breach of voters’ trust at the Budget in a few weeks’ time.

It’s all adding up to a basket case of incompetence – or possibly worse.

The PM may still proclaim his confidence in his Chancellor, but Rachel Reeves may well be out of Number 11 and back in her family home sooner rather than later.
