MANCHESTER UNITED’S form has been like a seesaw this season — but it’s Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes’ seesaw trick that can hurt Bournemouth.
In our brilliant YouTube show Tactics Exposed, SunSport’s in-house analyst DEAN SCOGGINS looks at the upturn in Mount’s form — including the excellent performance in Monday’s 4-1 win at Wolves.
FLEXI TIME
Mount is a favourite of Amorim’s — he carries out the instructions of the manager and fits his tactical set-up.
Now his understanding with Fernandes has improved, the pair make the front line far more dangerous.
Against Wolves they showed their seesaw move, with Matheus Cunha the pivot point.
When Mount drops in to receive a bounce-pass from Cunha, Bruno can push past him.
And if it is Bruno who drops in for a return pass, then Mount swung past.
Bryan Mbeumo was free to race forward from the right — and wing-backs Diogo Dalot and Amad Diallo got in on the action, too.
STOP SEMENYO
Cherries winger Antoine Semenyo is a real threat.
United need a wide defensive shape to block passing lanes and prevent direct, vertical passes into his feet in transition.

He has operated on Bournemouth‘s left flank in recent weeks so Amad will have to be more defensively minded than usual.
While Noussair Mazraoui will also have to be switched on and support his full-back to reduce the space available to Semenyo, who has six Prem goals this season.
