Horse racing tips: ‘The Moores will strike at their favourite meeting’

TEMPLEGATE’S Monday picks are below.

THE BOSS BEAR (Plumpton 1.30, nap)

The Gary and Josh Moore-trained five-year-old showed signs of inexperience when he won with plenty in hand at Fontwell in May. That form is nothing special, but he ran green and got the message late to run out a seven length winner. He’s bred to make a jumper so hurdling should suit and his yard is ticking along nicely.

ALAFDHAL (1.12 Lingfield, nb)

Is a sprinter in super form and he can land the hat-trick all in the last fortnight.cHis last two wins have come over five furlongs, but he stays six furlongs fine and top jock Billy Loughnane keeps the ride.

WHITCOMBE ROCKSTAR (3.12 Lingfield, treble)

Has been in the doldrums but showed signs of a return to form when finishing third at Chelmsford. He can go close if the early pace is solid.

KOOL KID (3.00 Plumpton, Lucky 15)

He steps up in trip on handicap debut and could prove to be much better than this grade.
