Not many horses come around the outside to win at Dunstall Park but that’s exactly what Mick Appleby’s four-year-old did last time out. He was on the wrong side for most of the race and did well to show a sharp turn of foot to score going away at the line. That was over this trip and he is capable of defying a 5lb penalty. His track form figures read 131 and he can keep that good record going here.
PIPERSTOWN (3.02 Wolverhampton, nb)
Had two lengths in hand when winning here last week. He is best over this distance and landed a hat-trick last January off similar marks.
MINELLA JURY (1.45 Doncaster, treble)
Was lagging up before stumbling after the final flight at Uttoxeter. He did well to keep going for the win and has a lot more to offer.
JET PLANE (4.18 Warwick, Lucky 15)
Has been running well in much hotter races and should be too good for these hunter chasers over a longer trip that suits.
