Horse racing tips: ‘His proven staying power is a huge asset’

TEMPLEGATE goes looking for winners on Thursday as we built to another busy weekend.

Back a horse by clicking their odds below.

GOLAN LOOP (12.07 Wincanton, nap)

He finished his hurdling career with a 12-length win at Ffos Las and has taken that form to the bigger obstacles. He was second on debut at Southwell in November before leaving that form behind when scooting in by more than four lengths at Hereford last time out. The handicapper has been fair with a 6lb rise for that and his proven staying power will be an asset over this 3m1f distance.

POWEROFJET (12.50 Newcastle, nb)

He won with plenty in hand here last time over two miles and shapes as though this longer distance will suit. This is just his third spin over fences so there’s more to come.

ISAAC DES OBEAUX (3.37 Wincanton, treble)

Jumped well when winning at Exeter last month. That was on heavy ground so he should have no issue going up in trip.

VALTTERI ITS JAMES (3.45 Newcastle, Lucky 15)

Cost £80,000 after winning an Irish point-to-point. He’s from a good jumping family with a bright future.
