TEMPLEGATE takes on Wednesday’s racing confident of banging in a winner or two.

HEEZTHEBOY (2.55 Hexham, nap)
Gary Hanmer’s eight-year-old has won two of his past three over fences including in style by 13 lengths at Wetherby last time. That was over three miles and his staying power will be an asset in what should be pretty testing conditions here.
PIERCHIC (4.25 Kempton, nb)
Built on her debut to score at the second time of asking at Chelmsford last time. She is bred to be a lot better than this standard and is capable of giving weight away all round for James Doyle and Charlie Appleby.
KICOUR LA (2.15 Leicester, treble)
Had five lengths in hand when winning here on debut last month and should take a big step forward for Ben Pauling.
HUNKY DORY (7.00 Kempton, Lucky 15)
He has been knocking on the door and went close again at Newcastle last time out.
