I’M A LUMBERJACK (2.25 Doncaster, nap)
Can chop them down for Alan King. His horse was well-backed for a stronger race at Newbury last time and should outclass his rivals at this level. There’s no doubt he’s on a handy mark and conditions will be in his favour again here. This slightly shorter trip will probably play into his hands for good measure.
OFFICER OF STATE (3.20 Lingfield, nb)
Sprung a surprise at Windsor last time but should be able to back that effort up. The Moore team do well at Lingfield and a 6lb rise will not be enough to stop him if he returns here in the same form. He should be able to boss this small field.
AISLING OSCAR (7.00 Southwell, treble)
Can bring up a famous eight-timer. Adrian Keatley’s gelding has had the handicapper on the run for much of the winter but a 6lb rise is unlikely to stop him again. He’s done most of his winning at Newcastle but that form usually carries over well to Southwell and it’s impossible to knock his chance.
ACT OF INNOCENCE (3.10 Huntingdon)
Can complete the Lucky 15. He could yet be a player in some big races in the next few months and will have too much class for this field.
