Horse racing tips: ‘He’s a brilliant chaser on an unbelievable run’

TEMPLEGATE’S Thursday tips are below,

Back a horse by clicking their odds.

PEP TALKING (3.20 Wincanton, nap)

Has made the podium on eight of his past nine runs, with five chase wins in that excellent sequence. He had a cosy length in hand when scoring at Wetherby 19 days ago over this trip when his brilliant jumping came to the fore again. A 4lb rise in the weights for that smooth success looks more than fair and he’ll be hard to stop down in class here.

MILITARY CROSS (3.35 Newcastle, nb)

Has been knocking at the door with a four-timer of seconds and can get off the mark. The long straight at Gosforth Park will give him plenty of time to hit top gear.

FAIRY GLEN (1.55 Lingfield, treble)

Was beaten just half a length in this Listed grade at Bath last month. She gets this trip strongly and has won twice on the all-weather so the switch from turf holds no fears.

TORN AND FRAYED (1.45 Warwick, Lucky 15)

Was impressive when winning at Aintree 25 days ago and can repeat last year’s victory in this race.
