Horse racing tips: ‘He is a class act’

GAELIC WARRIOR can win what looks a cracking John Durkan for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend.

Rich Ricci’s Grade 1 winner showed at Aintree and Sandown that this trip on testing ground is right up his street – travelling like a class act and hitting the line hard in landing big prizes last season.

Templegate fancies Gaelic Warrior to land the John Durkan

He clearly improved as the campaign went on and is only seven so could have more to come.

Fact To File has every chance of following up last year’s win. He was brilliant when winning the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham and didn’t enjoy dropping back to two miles when beaten at Punchestown. We know he goes well fresh and he’ll push his stablemate all the way.

Fastorslow won this race in 2023 but we haven’t seen him since a rusty effort in the 2024 version.

He’s talented and more than capable of winning but is entitled to need this comeback.

Anything else would be a surprise winner but Iknowthewayurthinkin is worth keeping a close eye on given he’s the Gold Cup winner.

This trip will be too sharp but this will give us a clue to his wellbeing.
