Horse racing tips: ‘He goes well fresh and has a top jockey in the saddle’

TEMPLEGATE takes on Sunday’s action confident of success.

VAL DANCER (3.12 Carlisle, nap)

I’m a big fan of Charlie Deutsch over fences and he’s on board Mel Rowley’s regular winner who struck twice over fences last season. One of those wins came at this track which doesn’t suit all horses with its stuff finish. He’s been off since a good second at Haydock last February but he’s gone well fresh before and has fallen 6lb down the weights.

LIEM MERA KAI (1.18 Huntingdon, nb)

Was an impressive bumper winner on debut at Warwick. That was back in March and he was quickly marked down as a future hurdler to follow and he showed lots of pace over this trip. He can improve for Warren Greatrex.

TELEPATHIQUE (1.32 Carlisle, treble)

Has four wins and a second from her five chase starts. She is proven in this Listed class and jumps really well from the front. She goes well fresh and will take lots of pegging back.

BENMORE (12.32 Carlisle, Lucky 15)

Finished last season with a promising win at Hexham where he jumped better. He can continue that progress on comeback.
