Honours even in ill-tempered Premier League table-topping clash after Moises Caicedo red card

A TEN-MAN Chelsea held Arsenal to a battling 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal went into the game hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

The visitors were handed the iniative just before the break as Moises Caicedo was sent off for a reckless challenge on Martin Zubimendi.

Referee Anthony Taylor initially brandished a yellow card before a VAR review saw the punished upgraded to a red card.

Despite being down to ten, it was Chelsea that made the breakthrough in the 47th minute.

Trevoh Chalobah headed home from the near post with a brilliant effort that looped over David Raya.

Arsenal did level after Bukayo Saka crossed in for Mikel Merino to head past Robert Sanchez before the hour mark.
