Hollywood comedian Nick Offerman left the Sunday Brunch hosts scrambling to apologise after using a swear word live on air over the weekend.
The Parks and Recreation actor appeared alongside a host of famous faces on the panel of the Channel 4 series, which is hosted by Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer.
Nick, 55, took to the studio to promote his new book, Little Woodchucks, which the actor wrote to introduce the world of carpentry and woodwork to young people.
Tim, 57, and Simon, 62, sat down to chat with Nick alongside the likes of singer KT Tunstall, actress Tracy-Ann Oberman and comedian Rachel Parris.
The group sampled a tasty selection of freshly-baked pumpkin pie and red wine as they discussed fears and phobias in one segment.
Opening up on his fear of ‘disappointing his parents’, Nick then casually dropped a very rude word as he described what he was like when he was younger.

‘Naturally, as their kid, I experimented with the other direction,’ Nick explained.
‘And eventually with maturation I learned to try and be a decent person, but I’m always catching up, so when I wake up in a sweat at night, I just think “are my parents ashamed of me?”
‘I called my dad and I said, “Dad, I’m sorry for the last four or five years. I’ve been quite a real t**t”.’
Noticing the shock of the presenters, Nick went on to ask: ‘Am I allowed to say that?’
Tim quickly replied, trying to cover up the mistake: ‘You can’t! I must apologise for that, but carry on… He is American.’
Luckily for the hosts, fans at home didn’t appear bothered by the mistake, and took to X, formerly Twitter, to praise the actor’s appearance on the series.
One penned: ‘Oops Nick Offerman just said the T word on Sunday Brunch,’ as a second replied: ‘He’s been a total delight. What a great guest.’
‘Nick Offerman is a dude,’ a third wrote, while a fourth said: ‘An unexpected treat!’

It comes after Jenny Eclair left the hosts with their heads in their hands after making a ‘filthy and offensive’ comment on the Channel 4 show.
The incident took place during the show’s return episode on Sunday when the comedian discussed her ongoing tour – Jokes, Jokes, Jokes, Live!
Tim and Simon got a lot more than they bargained for, however, when they sat down with Jenny, 65, who admitted that her new show contains ‘filthy’ poetry.
She said: ‘I do punk poetry from the early days in this show. But obviously I can’t do it now because it’s filthy.’
But despite seemingly being aware that she was on a daytime TV show, the comedian elaborated: ‘One’s called t**s, the other called f**ny!’
A shocked Tim and Simon had no option but to bury their faces in their hands and laugh as Jenny replied: ‘Oh I didn’t know that was wrong, sorry!’
Jenny said: ‘I did ask some other questions about what things I was allowed to say and they just said no.’
Tim replied: ‘If you ever ask to ask what you’re allowed to say and the answer is no…’
Sunday Brunch continues on Sunday at 10am on Channel 4.
