A Hollywood A-lister once nominated for an Oscar has revealed she was turned away from one of the most exclusive parties in showbiz.
The star admitted she couldn’t get into the ultra-private bash – leaving fans stunned at the snub.
After a night of glitz and glamour at the Oscars, it’s the ultra-exclusive after-parties that everyone’s talking about.
Vanity Fair has reportedly slashed its Oscars after-party guest list by half – making the already ultra-exclusive bash even harder to get into.
Back in the 1990s, the bash was the toughest door in Hollywood on Oscar night – but over the years it’s become a victim of its own hype.
As the guest list ballooned, more and more power players spent the entire year plotting how they could secure a coveted invite come March.
Actress Emma Stone revealed she had a full plan for the night – hopping on a party bus with her “Bugonia” co-stars, stopping by the Universal Pictures bash before heading to A24’s party.
But when it came to the Vanity Fair after-party, she admitted: “It’s so weird, even if you’re nominated it doesn’t mean you can go.”
Fans were left stunned by the snub, taking to X to share their shock.
One wrote: “WHAT?? You’re telling me Vanity Fair didn’t invite Emma F****ing Stone to their after party???!?! An Oscar nominee can’t go but you include a bunch of influencers in there hahahahaha.”
Another added: “Wait this is weird af i mean a lot of nobodies were there too??”
A third penned: “How do u not invite THEEE Emma stone, i feel something is wrong.”
Emma stunned in a shimmering white gown with an empire-cut and cap sleeves.
The 37-year-old actress wore a custom Louis Vuitton creation, and her copper-toned bob was parted to the side.
The star is the youngest woman in history to reach seven Oscar nominations across her career.
Meanwhile, Oscars viewers branded last night’s ceremony a “disgrace” after three big stars were missing from the in memoriam tribute.
James Van Der Beek, Brigitte Bardot and Eric Dane all missed out on a mention, despite their deaths being mourned around the world.
Dawson’s Creek star James died last month from cancer, aged 48, Grey’s Anatomy Actor Eric died days later from ALS, aged 53, and French screen siren Brigitte passed away in December, aged 91.
Numerous well-known faces appeared on the screen inside Los Angeles‘ Dolby Theatre as the industry took a moment to remember some of its fallen icons.
The glaring omissions frustrated some, with one writing: “The #Oscars could’ve taken a couple of seconds out of that long in memoriam for Eric Dane and to raise awareness for ALS. Worst snub of the night.“
Another said: “Brigitte Bardot was a huge omission.”
A third posted: “James Van Der Beek not getting mentioned in the Oscars In Memoriam reel should be a crime.”
A fourth fumed: “This is terrible on the Oscars. May these beautiful souls rest in peace.”
A fifth simply said: “What a disgrace.”
“That’s actually pretty surprising,” said another. “The In Memoriam segment is meant to honor people who shaped the industry, so leaving out names like that feels like a miss.”
