It is a royal tradition that has reached its 200th anniversary this year after it was first held in 1825 during the reign of King George IV.
The festival was founded by Queen Anne in 1711 after she declared Ascot ideal for ‘horses fit for kings’ and it is now a major social event and sporting attraction.
Georgia is an avid fan of the races and is often seen making glamorous appearances at festivals all around the UK, recently stepping out for Epsom’s Ladies Day.
The pair got engaged last October after the millionaire proposed with an exquisite eight-carat triple-diamond studded band estimated to be worth £200,000 during a romantic getaway in Greece for Georgia’s 30th birthday.
After the BrewDog founder promised that the pair would be married this year, the couple did indeed tie the knot – though guests only had 48 hours’ notice to attend the whirlwind ceremony.
Taking to Instagram, Georgia shared loved-up snaps of the newlyweds posing on a fishing boat moments after saying ‘I do’.
She captioned her shock post: ‘James and I got married today.’
